Karrow Jewelers — Attraction in Alexandria

We worked with some older gal at the broadway location. The ring we bought was amazing. It was everything my wife had expected and more!! A year after getting it we got it cleaned in the cities and they pointed out our centerstone was loose in the setting and you could move it around. We brought it in to Karrow and they reset the stone (took ring for a month). Then, we were getting it cleaned and a diamond was missing. We called Karrow, no problem bring it in and we will get it fixed. 6 months later another diamond fell out. Same thing, bring it in and get it fixed (took ring for another month). Then, at this point I’m wondering why diamonds keep falling out. This isn’t suppose to happen. We called in, and the girl we worked with literally said diamonds are like cars they need oil changes and tire rotations every now and then (aka you’ll lose diamonds). Everyone I’ve talked to that’s been married not once has lost a diamond. Finally, we asked for whomever was in charge and they shipped our ring off to some place in Germany to have it laser set (another month without ring). With an added line from them “if this happens again we won’t be covering it”. Good to know you guys stand behind your products. Pretty sure we spent around $6,000 too.

This is not the experience you want. Go to a jeweler store in the cities.

EDIT: Few years later, this company did their best to make it right! I am glad with our decision to shop local. This way IF YOU DO have issues you can deal with the problem in person. Although I do disagree with the reasons we were told the ring was having issues (rings don't need oil changes) I can appreciate how we were treated throughout the years following our purchase. WOW!!!! In all the best ways. Karrow’s Jewlery is the BOMB!! Michelle was my sales associate in downtown location. I walking in looking for simple but elegant and found EXACTLY what I had waited for all my life. Michelle sat with me for two hours costume designing my engagement ring that my fiancé sent me out to find. He asked me to go all the jewlery stores in ALEXANDRIA and find something I’d Love. He was out on the road and was unable to go with. Michelle listened to our love story and suggested ideas as well as took total care of me as if no one else mattered that day. Great people to work with. They were very tactful and did not try to up-charge me once when making my ring. Even suggested a more cost effective option to my original plan that would work better than the stones I had picked out and still looked the same.

They even worked with my short time constraint just so I could propose to my girlfriend (now fiance) when I planned to. She absolutely loved the ring but we found out that I had selected a ring size that was too big. They had it sent out and resized without question and didn't even charge us a dime!
