Rocket Fizz Alexandria — Attraction in Alexandria

I called Rocket Fizz in Alexandria from Roanoke Virginia looking for Special Reserve Root Beer made by Indian Wells Brewing Company in California. I was seeking it for a Christmas gift for a long time friend who had recently gone through treatment for neck cancer and proclaimed it the best root beer he had ever had. Tonya, the manager, returned my call and said they didn’t normally ship sodas but said she would give it a try. Two days later I had a case of root beer delivered by Fed Ex. It was such a blast to visit this store for the first time! There are SO MANY different kinds of soda — I've never seen such variety. If you want a bottled Shirley Temple, a non-branded Butterbeer, or Mexican Coke, they've got those… but also really out-there stuff like marshmallow soda, bacon soda, or even dirt-flavored!! Plenty of types of diet soda too.

The candy is a fun add-on, but there are a lot of candy stores in this world. Soda stores are much harder to come by!

They have a huge variety of candies and sodas here. They also do sell pick a mix but it's per bag and it's pretty pricey a small bag is $10 a large bag is $12. But I do enjoy the fact that they stock sodas other than just the rocket fizz branded sodas like I can get Sprecher sodas here, for more reasonable price than most places in the area. Other soda brands are over priced, like much of there candy. That said they are home of the hard to find. I come here on the regular so I do like it, even though...
