The Nail Studio Little Simple Things — Attraction in Alexandria

I’m giving 5 stars for the quality of work and the sweetness of the nail techs but I cannot come back here.

So this is about me, not them, and I’m just letting google reviewers know in case they have the same issues. I almost never get my nails done. It’s painful for me to sit still for this procedure, it’s a doctor appointment for me, and that’s how I think of it. It’s not fun. It’s a pain. This studio was half the size of my bedroom, with 4 people in it, covered in nail dust, and no running water. I am CLAUSTROPHOBIC. I don’t even know how claustrophobic I am until I’m trapped somewhere small with no windows like this. She used alcohol and gloves, she did a great job. But I was coughing, it was tiny, I wanted out. I had to give up a previous hair salon for the same reason of just being too tiny and stuffy and claustrophobic for me to endure. So it’s not a new issue for me. Also be aware, they don’t do pedicures (no room) and they don’t take credit cards. So be prepared with cash or Venmo. Again, the quality of work...

I have never been happier with the way my nails turned out! I scheduled an appointment for yesterday with Kayla to get my nails done for my wedding on Saturday. Every time I get my nails done with a design, I always feel as though the nail tech didn't quite get it right so I was prepared to be 'content' however Kayla really took her time and made my nails look EXACTLY like the reference picture I showed her! The prices may seem a bit high but that's because they really take their time to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. It is worth every penny! Booked an appointment w/ Kayla, just moved and trying a new studio in the area… oof. No introduction or hello, just straight to doing my nails roughly. I’m fine with silent appointments and didn’t mind just putting my headphones in and doing my own thing. She ignored me when I said she was hurting my cuticles (still stings to put them under water LOL) and seemed irritated with everything I was doing like asking if the jelly color would get darker and i guess shifting my body to look at my nails 😭 I literally had to ask her if she was okay bc I’ve never met her and didnt understand why she was so annoyed with me. Maybe she had a lot going on in her personal life but…....
