This was my first experience of Lake Michigan and it did not disappoint. Lake had 4 different colors as it went further away. Really cool to see brown, light blue, green, deep blue the further you look. Only downside was the area I was at, near the visitation center, was full of small rocks. With sandals and proper foot wear it’s not a big deal. If you plan on swimming in that area it’s hard on your feet. It does have a beach area about a block down with volley ball nets and places to hangout. For my first Lake Michigan experience I’d say it was a good one.
