Senior brain fart. I had a senior moment at the concessions, I walked away from my credit card, left it in the reader after the shell shock of the high costs of concessions. I'm in the industry, so I usually go to indie screenings, but it's my birthday so I wanted to see MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FINAL RECKONING as movies should seen on the bigger screen. Yes, the reclining seats! Yes, the moveable tray. Yes the huge sound. YES yes yes, going to the movies again -- a huge pleasure. BUT THIS IS AN SHOUTOUT TO A STELLAR EMPLOYEE. If all the Regal employees are like Binh, then this is THE PLACE to see a film. raise the roof with this shoutout for Binh. I would like to commend Binh at the Alhambra Regal for the 6:55 showing for going beyond the call of duty. I had left my credit card at concessions after making my purchase, but I was unaware of this and happily saw the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE movie, a nearly three-hour movie. AFTER the movie, Binh saw me as I was nearing the exit about to enter the street more than 15 minutes after the movie had ended. He must have been watching for me, probably giving up as I took my time looking at the poster displays as I left, heading for the ladies room (those drinks are huge and even bigger for .50 cents more.) Binh saw me, he approached me and asked me my name and informed me I had left my Visa card in the reader by accident. OMG! We went to customer service, where he had placed with Lost n Found for safekeeping. I showed him my DL for an ID, and then after verifying, he gave me my card. So not only did Binh render fast and friendly concession service [asking me if I wanted candy or bigger soda for 50 cents more), but he actually WAITED until after my movie was over, AFTER I had gone to the Ladies Room, AFTER I had taken a selfie with a poster, to watch for my exit. He stopped me from exiting, and he returned my credit card. That's impeccable service and he deserves a commendation or reward for rendering that extra effort. He cared about my movie experience, that it wouldn't be tainted by worry once I had discovered my card missing. He's a great representative of Regal....
Read moreWith the closure of the Arclight Cinemas, this very well could be the next best place to see movies in a theater. The seats weren't as comfortable as the Arclight seats were. Surround sound was slightly lacking from the back row of seats. Video quality was excellent. No seats available in the hallway to wait for seating in the theater, although cleaning was done quickly - but I might have just been at the first showing of the day at that particular cinema so early seating in a clean theater would have been available. Concessions were quick and easy, although I was not offered a tray. That made holding a large drink and hot dog while presenting my e-ticket problematic. There was no counter or table around to set down my food and drink so that I could present my e-ticket and get my 3-D glasses. The hot dog was just ok. I expected better (and bigger) for $5. I reserved my seat so that there was going to be two open seats to my right. The theater had marked those seats as unavailable. Two people ignored their seat assignment to sit right next to me. They had the entire rest of the row to choose from! I guess they wanted to be as close to centered as possible, but they should have stuck with the seats they had chosen. If the theater meant to block off those seats, they should have physically made sure those seats were marked as unavailable. It should not be a customer's duty to enforce the theater's seating decisions. Having those people sitting right next to me was uncomfotable as COVID infections are recently on the rise. I had to keep my mask on thru the entire movie, which made the 3-D glasses fog occasionally. That definitely had a detrimental effect on my enjoyment of the film. Be aware when getting tickets for 3-D movies, wearing a mask could affect your ability to see clearly. Still better than some other theaters I had been to...
Read moreLoved the #Christmas #decorations on the corner of #Main #Street/ #Garfield #Ave. However, #Sprouts #Caucasian #Store #Manager was frozen & staring at #Nala my #6MO female pup rescue. After a cordial salutation greeting, he seemed to snap out of a #trance and immediately greeted me and asked twice for the #Service #Animal documents, stating that the #CityOfAlhambra is coming down hard on that stuff. Until I met the male cashier, I was enjoying my shopping experience since I was lost to Phil's #Christmas #Party2024. I'd never felt discriminated for being a #Foster #Mom to the #3.5MO female rescue pup. How cruel can the middle working class be to new customers. As if my money is less than the #plastics that pretend to have it all: looks, fashion, money, and a #career... Lastly, he looked for Nala and I as he refused to allow me to purchase #Salmon #Teriyaki #Sushi and a small and whole baked chicken. The cashier boasted, oh that food is not at all eligible for purchase she boasted proudly as to impress the cashier/ store manager. I humbly replied, cash is cash is it not? And left her perplex. How can such a beautiful city such as Alhambra have small minded Aristocrats work in blue collar jobs and have the audacity to discriminate a rescue dog, an elderly female and her attempt to purchase salmon sushi and a baked chicken? Especially, having walked from the #Target #Store to the corner of Main Street/ Garfield Avenue. What shame to treat an American Citizen and her #ServiceAnimal so ghastly. Furthermore, #Ross was so kind and friendly in comparison to excellent customer service. Instead, Sprouts employees were snobs. Lord forgive them, for they do not realize how they judge your meek child and...
