Haja Rose Bowl — Attraction in Allentown

My sister and I grew up on these lanes bowling youth league. It’s always nostalgic going back, but our last visit was far from a good experience. I just bought a new very expensive ball and had it chewed up with the ball return. My sister’s ball also got eaten up. We were told to fill out a paper and leave them for the pro shop to re-surface them. Went in yesterday to see what’s going on, only to be faced with an aggressive response from the owner/manager of the pro shop. I get it, he’s not technically affiliated with the lanes, but he could’ve handled my questions easier and without pushback. I wish I could go back, but after this experience as a bowler I will not. The atmosphere is nice and prices are reasonable. We went on a Saturday night. The DJ was great. He gave out cool light up sticks to all the children and they had a free photo booth! The lady who worked the concession stand was very nice. She worked diligently at making food and beverages for the entire establishment. The cocktail waitress was very customer oriented. The only reason why I am giving the business 3 stars is because there is a lady who works the front counter who is less than friendly. I used to be in a league years ago here, and she was the same way then. She makes you feel more like an inconvenience than a welcomed guest. But overall, its a good establishment. Pleasantly surprised! We hadn't been bowling in years but wanted to try a new place re-opening that we heard a lot about. I called there in advance to reserve lanes bc we had a large group. The staff wasn't very friendly and I was told they couldn't reserve lanes but given a time they thought it wouldn't be an issue. We arrived and were told we had at least a two hour wait, unless we wanted to put 15 people on one lane.

Our friends suggested we try Rose bowl and we were hesitant but went anyway.

It was WONDERFUL. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. They reserved lanes so we didn't need to wait. The facility was clean with plenty of parking. Everything worked well and drinks were great.
