I'm normally a fan of Grocery Outlet becuase it's cheaper than other supermarkets and has items you won't find there. However I didn't have a good experience at this one. There wasn't a huge selection compared to other GOs I've been to, but it was fine becuase I did ultimately find the things on my grocery list.
However the prices are not very different from any other grocery store, and so many prices were actually wrong! When I was being rung up at the checkout, items kept coming up that were double or nearly double the tagged shelf price! One drink actually cost more than it would at Whole Foods. This was stressful and humiliating. There was a line behind me, and I had to ask the checker to put some items back.
I wish the prices had been actual. This isn't a problem just with the person who tags the items, becuase the whole staff should coordinate about these issues as a team. I hope this was just a one-time bad experience.
Also I bought a bag of rice but when I got home I discovered a...
Read moreFirst off I would like to say I shop Grocery outlet in Allentown on Tillman Street, Easton and Quakertown. The first time in this store was my last!! They did not have the items that every other store has. Turkey hill iced tea, eggs cost more in this store then any other grocery outlet. So call red price sale taped on self was not in the righ place for the item advertised. No one in the store was able to answer a question of items I asked about. You are followed around by a person not shopping, so you ask them a question and get told I don't work here. You can't take the cart to your car because they have pillars blocking the entrance. How ever there was 1 employee who was friendly.Cashier had no sense of humor, never cracked a smile, asked her about the bathroom being out of order, her reply shocked me. We don't want bums or vandalism in our bathroom. That comment alone done it for me....
Read moreFinally reviewing after the third time experiencing their “mispricing.” Today i noticed almonds were marked $6.99 rather than $11.99. Upon checking out, of course they rung up at $11.99. The manager checked and said yes, you needed the salted not lightly salted. There was no spot for a regular salted. She agreed with this. The cashier and manager were at least very nice. While they did honor $6.99, this is still the third time where items have been deceptively marked and then ring up much higher. Beginning to think they are hoping people just aren’t paying attention at the register. Shady. I don’t want an excuse filled response. Just be better! I am taking my business back to the Broadway location even though this...
