Pure Spa — Attraction in Ambler

First of all some of the people who have left reviews work here. I'm not saying that is wrong...way to support your establishment. I'm just pointing out the bias. I have mixed feelings personally and have been here once as a customer. The woman giving me my pre-wedding facial said I had a mustache and she wanted to wax it. I've never noticed more than a rogue hair here or there and said no that my lip would break out. It has in the past. Face wax is not good for me. She, portraying herself the whole time as being in the tippy top of her field, said that it wouldn't break out because she was about to give me a facial and that would leave nothing to block the pores. It made sense so I said ok. Now I have a flaming rash all across my upper lip two days before my wedding. HOWEVER, when I called about it and expressed my frustration they were extremely accommodating. They refunded the money for the facial and the wax. They brought me an aloe cleanser, cold gel compress and cortisone cream to where I work (by no means nearby) and they were extremely apologetic. Additionally, I've never really had a facial before and it felt great. I will never go back because I resent someone luring me with pretend knowledge and I resent having this discomfort and ugliness to worry about so close to my wedding. But credit where credit is due. They handled angry me very well. We shall see how my upper lip feels on...

A 5 star Rating for Ambler Pure Spa! A special shout out to Nessa, aesthetician. Nessa is a godsend! She had quite a job helping me get my skin back to fresh and glowing. And, it wasn't easy. After several appointments, peels and update to my home routine....I can tell you the results are spectacular!! Nessa is very knowledgeable and patient (with me!). I had the WORST adult hormonal acne for the last 3+ yrs...and last fall I committed to working on changes. Nessa is such a huge help for this area....she knows how to get it done, not only the facials, but the overall skin care regime too. I brought in all of my products and consulted with Nessa on the right things needed for my skin and what a wonderful thing! Nessa really is impressed, as am I, of all the progress made with my skin..... I feel like a new woman thanks to Nessa's expertise!! Glowing and fabulous!! Thanks so much!

I was curious about their Gua Sha facial (which is not a facial - but a massage technique with a standard facial), this was my first service at Pure Spa. Lisa was a professional place in difficult position. Within 5 minutes all I heard was high heels, laughter, talking for the remainder of my service. I asked Lisa what that was and she replied it was the gym up stairs and they had to go up often to complain. (I'm thinking what gym has high heels}. I also requested a waxing and Lisa was not notified (30 mins later I had raw red marks on my brows - I had to treat with my calendula salve it was gone by morning. When my service was finished I went to the front desk to check out and complained about the noise - the receptionist said it was not upstairs but next door. ?????? She said to me next time when you come we will put you in one of our less noisy room. My question is why didn't you put a new client in a less noisy room first? It was not relaxing, I just wanted to leave ASAP. It is hard for these techs to build a clientele book in these conditions. I am disappointed and I will...
