The reason I gave it only four stars is because it is a bit pricey. I paid $5.55 for a butter pecan praline latte. I probably paid more I didn’t check the receipt but I asked for whip cream. But it was delicious and really for me a perfect dessert after we had just eaten Mexican food. My husband liked his straight up dark coffee with a head of espresso shot. The quality was superb, it’s on par with Starbucks for sure. They have a very extensive menu and I was happy to know that they offer almost everything decaffeinated.
Btw the workers were very knowledgeable and friendly. These days it’s nice to find people that seem to at least be happy to be working. I got to say I was pleasantly surprised how cute and groovy vibe was there. It’s a place that you definitely want to hang with a friend or by yourself to read a book or work on your iPad. However it is small and so if it was more crowded than the day we went, which was an off time on Sunday at 3 PM, I don’t know if we would’ve been as comfortable to stay because it would’ve been tight . I got to say I really appreciated the fact that they didn’t have any music on so we could have a conversation and it was real peaceful.
There was a cute tiny gift shop area and they offered bagels and pastries that we didn’t purchase but we might next time. It’s good to know that they offer them. We just moved to Anderson and it’s so nice to know there’s this nice coffee shop close to our place. Due to the prices however we’ll stick to returning occasionally like dates with the hubby or catch up time with...
Read moreHave enjoyed my visits here, nice atmosphere. Just disappointed by recent experience, ordered a unique iced tea of two offered that day. One sip and I tasted cough syrup (to me). Asked if I could change, had no clear response, so I left it on the counter, assuming they'd trade it out. After 10 min of nothing, I went back to counter to discover they don't do that. I was SO surprised, first time EVER had a restaurant not immediately want to exchange to a good alternative for the customer. Owner came in, I approached him courteously to say I was very surprised by that policy, and he told me they have too many customers take advantage. What does that mean? Drinking a coffee then saying they didn't like it? Hair in the drink? I didn't drink the whole tea then want a replacement. It wasn't a coffee with lots of ingredients, it was an iced tea that prob cost $.35 to make, and I paid $4 (no refills). I hadn't demanded a replacement, I was just so shocked by the "policy." You got my $4 but I haven't been back, haven't decided if I will, so you may lose me along with the friends I would've asked to meet there. Wish you had a different way to keep from getting taken advantage of, which when you explain it basically implies that's what...
Read moreA small coffee shop, not far from downtown Anderson, but definitely with a local crowd. The shop decor revolves around rabbits with assorted rabbit curios and collectibles throughout the shop and outside as well. The restaurant features a patio for outdoor dining although it was too cold to take advantage of it.
The staff was friendly and attentive. They brought the food and drinks out to us after we ordered up front.
My friend and I had pastries, similar to pop tarts. Mine was strawberry and cream cheese and hers was spinach and feta. Flaky and delicious. My dirty chai was a bit of a disappointment as it was not as hot as I would have hoped. The hazelnut latte that my friend ordered was well received.
Overall, the coffee shop was quite nice but regrettably the prices were high ($33 for our total order) and to our minds, the coffee shop didn't really merit it. The prices suggested superlative beverages but the reality was all too ordinary.
Pro Tip: There is a step down from the counter where you order to the dining area, which is easily missed (and apparently has been missed in the past, according to our sources)....
