Gordon Food Service Store — Attraction in Anderson

A few months ago, my fiancé had notified me on a Wednesday that we would be hosting a LARGE cookout at our home.

Fast forward to Saturday— I was running terribly behind. I had the groceries delivered as I was cleaning the house & getting everything outside setup. I began cooking and now all that was left was a handful of side dishes and dish ware that I needed to pickup.

Went to DG. Didn’t have what I needed. Spent 30 mins at Hobby Lobby getting everything I needed, checkout, “Sorry we don’t except Apple Pay.”

Spent 20 mins at GFS getting what I needed, “sorry we don’t accept Apple Pay.” — I think the cashier saw how defeated I was. But, instead, he said, “You know what.. okay. Do you have Apple Pay? If you do, you can just send me the money and I will use my card for it.”

& Wow. Thank you. I’m sure this isn’t your policy at all, but he was a real life saver for me that day. Thank you so much!

well i've been in 7 different times to get rotisserie chicken. Always after 11 or right on the dot. I have been able to buy it 2x. Also bought the fried chicken without inspecting it in the package one of the those times and it was old and dried out at 12 noon. Black and burned. This management team obviously cares nothing about rotisserie birds or take home foods. What is funny is they lose out on a three times a week customer that is always taking other items, butcher meats etc. FIX IT! Please.

Update 7-22-24. At 12 pm plenty of rotisserie chickens and strips! Zero fried!! I give up. What bothers me most is no response from management That...

Don't carry 10# boneless skinless chicken now. Have to get a case or nothing. Out of the 10# tube of ground beef again. Looks like they want to sell less and get out of the restaurant supply business and become another little grocery store. Sam's Club is not much farther away for me. Looks like I should be going there if I want any type of bulk buy and save. Others are starting to feel the same way. May 2019 I have been able to get the 10# boneless skinless chicken lately. And have also been able get the 10# tube of ground beef. They are doing much better with...
