The last month has been a whirlwind of difficult news and life changes for my family. I went in to American Mattress in Anderson IN today on my way home from the hospital to buy a new bed to better serve my sick husband. Yousef greeted me kindly, patiently showed me a number of options and answered my many questions, as well as listening to my story while he served me.
I made my selections, and set up delivery, grateful for a positive experience, and feeling like I had gotten a good value for my money.
Later in the day (he actually waited to call me because he remembered I had said I was likely to nap), he called me to confirm delivery. Not only did he work it out to deliver more quickly, but he told me he wanted to help our family, and gave me an upgrade.
Service like this so rarely exists anymore. He went above and beyond in every way. I was never made to feel rushed, or like I was being annoying with my questions. He clearly explained options proactively. And he was exceedingly kind.
When we need anything else his store provides, you better believe that's where we'll go.

Read moreI wrote a review 2 years ago saying this was a good mattress store. Since then it has went down hill. I ordered a replacement mattress Jan 25 and was told the latest date I would receive the mattress would be March 26. Today is April 3rd and I still have yet to receive my mattress. There has been many changes in managers at this store and this new one I am not fond of. When I call he is short with us. Tells us there is nothing he can do, it is all out of his control. He will even tell us he will contact his higher up and get back to us but never does. Each time we call he literally says "do you remember last time when I said we don't know when your mattress will be in?!" Well I wouldn't think it would take over 2 months to get a mattress! I even ordered a pillow in Jan it was in stock and was told I cannot have it until my mattress comes in. They will do nothing for me and will not give me any answers on when I might see my mattress. I keep getting the run around! I definitely will not be doing business with them anymore. Where is the good customer service anymore? Read moreI spent about one week shopping for two mattresses. I finaly found the quality and savings that I was looking for at American Mattress. Orlando at the Anderson location was phenomenal. He was informative but not insistent that I purchase a certain brand or type of mattress. He listened to my concerns regarding my current mattresses and made suggestions to help correct those issues. After I made my purchase, Orlando took time to explain the delivery procedure and even called the delivery team to ensure that the delivery process would be seamless. The day of the delivery two youg men showed up at our home, set up and removed our old mattresses in less than an hour. They were on time, frienldy and also very helpful. They showed us how to use the adjustable bed base and even gave us tips in regard to maintaining our new purchase. I later discovered that both Orlando and one of the delivery guys were also serving our country in the military, that fact combined with American Mattress being a family owned company will ensure my continued business...
