My Thai partner and I were excited to try this place because of the good ratings and the menu included some very authentic dishes that we haven't found in the immediate Anderson area. Unfortunately the flavors are overly Americanized and some of the dishes really just didn't even resemble what they would at a more authentic Thai restaurant. If you're dipping your toes into Thai food, DEFINITELY stop by and check this place out, but if you're looking for a true Thai food experience this is a hard pass.
The best thing we got was the Fish Cakes- they were probably the most authentically made item we ate. They were perfectly tangy and bouncy and the sauce was appropriately sweet. The 2nd best was the Pad Thai- although the portion was WAY too large for us, the sauce was good and there was ample protein.
The Yum Woon Sen was okay, but very sweet and while we ordered the dish medium spicy it was not at all spicy. We had to hunt through the dish for any chilis at all.
The Tom Yum Soup was incredibly disappointing. It was very sweet as well, but it did taste like they added some spice to it (again, we ordered medium spicy). It really tastes like a tomato soup that they added a little bit of Tom Yum Soup base to.
The most insulting dish was also the most expensive item we ordered: the Gai Yang from the specials menu. Gai Yang means grilled chicken. Typically this is chicken breast or thigh that is marinated, grilled and then cut and served over rice with a dipping sauce on the side (in this case the menu said vegetables, which we knew going in) What we got appeared to be frozen grilled chicken breast that they heated up and stir fried with a frozen vegetable medley packet and then doused with some sort of gravy. It was like generic Chinese food and not at all Thai in execution or flavor. If the menu said grilled chicken stir fry we would have expected something like this and would not have ordered it, but calling it Gai Yang is just sad and really made the experience here off-putting.
The renovation of the building is very nice (I remember when it was the old Key Bank!) and the staff was very courteous and sweet. I am sure they are gearing this menu toward the local Anderson customer and palette- and perhaps we came on an off-night or ordered the wrong dishes, but we likely will try another place the next time we...

Read moreMy family couldn't be more thrilled about this place opening in Anderson. The decor/atmosphere is almost over the top nice yet I feel very comfortable there & it's bright & airy without being cold & fancy without being stiff. The selection is excellent and the staff is beyond friendly, like they almost feel like old friends making eye contact & seem genuinely happy & enjoying their customers & job. I've tried the spicy basil & green curry & I was in food heaven both times, the flavor was excellent, the curry thick & rich & the veggies fresh & perfectly cooked. If you like Thai I can't recommend this place enough. The thai basil dish I got is definitely in my top 5 restaurant meals I have ever had. We have gone to 7 other Thai places in central Indiana & Thai Divine is our favorite. I will say though order less spicy than you normally would because they aren't messing around making midwesternized bland Thai food. I like spicy & their mild was fine for me. As if that isn't enough we have gone twice with our 2 young children & the staff has gone out of their way to make them feel comfortable, welcome & valued- this is so refreshing when so often even at casual restaurants employees look pained when you come in with little kids. They made the exact dish our picky 5 year old ordered & brought out our kids food before the appetizer even so that they wouldn't have to wait. More than one staff member addressed my kids directly in a genuinely interested & caring way. This is especially remarkable because we are usually pretty oddly dressed & scrappy looking for a...
