Whitner Street Grocery — Attraction in Anderson

This store is a prime example of why I don’t and will never support black owned businesses.(unless they were born in africa) And I say that as a black person. If your store schedule says open at 10am why tf am I standing in front of your store at 10:45am waiting for you to open. If your store sign says “open” why tf am I standing in front of your store at 4:00pm (6 hours after you open) wondering why you’re not open. Why are your employees asking customers to use/borrow what they paid for? Why are employees standing outside talking when there’s costumers inside waiting to be checked out? not the most extensive selection, admittedly... but the prices at this place make it incredibly worth shopping here. the price breaks are CRAZY... my father-in-law regularly buys his favorite salsa by the pallet - its regularly valued at around 15$ a jar and here he pays a dollar a jar. the staff isnt overly friendly, but ive yet to have a displeasurable experience with anyone. overall, while you may have to stop elsewhere for a complete grocery order, its definitely worth making the extra stop by here while your out simply because of the insanely low prices on pretty much everything. where else can you get a box of 9 full-sized "softees" donuts for a friggin...

I saw the great reviews so I stopped in to buy some cookies for my students. While I was there two men entered and one of them rushed me. He started asking me all kinds of questions and I felt really unsafe. There was only a single clerk there who was also a woman and she didn’t say anything.
