When I called to see what season of clothing that was being excepted I spoke to manager and then the owner. The owner proceeded to ask questions about the clothing which I explained that all the items are brand new with a vintage, retro style. She proceeded to asked about the brand of items and I explained to her that it’s boutique clothing that I was phasing out. Then she says, “You mean clothing from China?” I said yes some of it and it’s good stuff. Meaning there was an invite to bring what I had but of course with limitations. She proceeded to tell me she would determine if they were good or not. Style doesn’t equate to fashion. Even Cruella De Vil added a pop of color. So the day that I arrived the customer service was as dry as the branding. If you want to present the brand as “upscaled luxury” thrifts it should embody just that. They sorry excuse was my clothes had stains..."Really Karen" I have common sense I wouldn't even bother taking clothes that will not be accepted. The real reason is they didn't feel comfortable enough to accept clothes from black person. They could have told me that to save us all the inconvenience. Some items in that store should have not made it on the racks. Some items in that store should be in the garbage and my items wasn't good enough. Its easy to read between the lines of the staff facial expressions and body language to individuals with color is not...
