Beach Access — Attraction in Anna Maria island

This is one of my favorite beaches and the one I go to the least. I love this place. I had forgotten how to get here but decided to take a detour one day and there it was. With all the social distancing in place we had to be careful. I couldn't resist. It is a neighborhood beach and the sheriff's road in on ATVs but didn't harass anyone. No one was congregating. Folks were just walking together in couples or family groups of 3 or 4. The sunset was gorgeous and framed by the dunes and a tree. I recorded it for my friends who are far away or can't get out. Nice beach. Enjoy the soft white sand, the shallow water and sandbar close to shore so you can stay only about waist deep walking out a good distance. This is great for our young kids. Definitely not going to find big waves here, maybe in a storm. Great sunset view. The one downside that keeps me from giving this 5 stars, is there isn't a public restroom or showers for cleaning off after the sticky sand, you have to go back to your place, assuming your staying close, or hope one of the neighboring businesses will let you use...

Love this pavilion. Cute, also has public restrooms, outdoor showers, book store, public pool, chair and umbrella rentals, and a great little snack stand with delicious grilled sandwiches and delicious lobster rolls!
