My cousins and I visited AMI for the first time during this past week. We wanted to buy a few things there and would walk by the henna and beach braids. Today, we finally headed there.

We checked in and waited because nobody was in the "shed." Approximately five minutes later, a woman entered the room and rudely asked us if she could help us. When we responded that we needed to get a few things done, she shot us a dirty look and ignored us. Normally I don't post reviews, but her customer service was appalling. so horrible that my sister and I canceled our appointment with her.

My cousin continued to get her hair wrapped, which by the way cost $55 and stuck out of her head stiffly. She gave me a seven-headed expression when I asked her a question. Not even 4 hours later I had to pull the hair wrap out of my cousins hair because she was in pain by how much it was pulling on her head.

Being a hair stylist, these fun hair styles shouldn't be hurried or used as a way of getting frustration out. $55 for a hair wrap and subpar customer service.

I was really excited to get my henna done while i was at AMI, i got it and a few days later it was already fading and i wasn’t in the sun and i was following the directions i was given to keep up with it. i have a rash on my hand now and it’s completely faded 5 days later there are bumps following the lines of the henna all along my hand and it itches and burns. i talked to a lot of people and other shops and they told me no real henna ink should be black .. it should be a dark red/ brown color. i understand this doesn’t happen to everyone but i definitely suggest not going there if you have sensitive skin or want a more natural ink used...

Thought it would be a great idea to get my 12 year olds sister hair braided since we were gonna be at the beach for a week and she hates having to brush her hair. We waited about 2 hours until it was finally her turn , I paid $40 for double Dutch braids that came out looking like my sister did them herself. They lasted about 1 hour as they slowly started to fall apart, but the advertisement says it lasts up to 1 week.
