This used to be a great place for locals to fish. Day and night. Had lights running pier lighting up the water. Started fishing here at 10 years old. Alot of good memories growing up here. Unfortunately now it's more of a tourist attraction. Just like the rest of the island!! Hope you snowbirds enjoy this pier, and the rest of our once awesome island. Unfortunately, this is also not covered at any point, so that the equipment becomes very hot and it is hardly possible for the children to play here during the day. It only works well in the evening or early in the morning, when the sun is not yet shining so strongly.
