I can't say enough about this shop and Bill the owner - I LOVED their rocks, crystals, fossils, shark, dinosaur and megalodon teeth, jewelry, geodes, raw stones, finely polished stones and even small tumbled stones. From fun stuff for kids to exquisite huge crystals - you name it, this store has it! We leisurely browsed the shelves of beautiful items from all over the world, but I had so many questions and Bill was extremely knowledgeable offering information about characteristics, anomalies or special attributes of the items we were interested in. We were only planning to browse and maybe buy something small, but since there were so many amazing pieces I couldn't decide so we ended up buying a bunch of rocks and crystals. Incredible quality and reasonable prices. Like the Terminator, "I'll be back." Lol! But seriously we are excited to go back as Bill explained he has a lot more inventory not displayed. They also have a store we're looking forward to checking out called Pinapple Rocks in Sarasota.
It was a fun and interesting experience and I couldn't be happier with our beautiful works of nature's art we picked up here at Anna Maria Rocks. Thanks again for everything Bill, your little shop made a big...
Read moreWe stopped in just before close this evening waiting for a seat at a restaurant. My wife and 3 small children entered first. My girls are respectful and in an unfamiliar place donât venture more than 2â from momâs leg. First we were told they close in 5 minutesâŚnext it was everything on the shelves was âfor eyes onlyâ (No one attempted to touch but we totally get it) then we were directed to the kids table but when the kids did touch were told those items are for those who want to make their own necklaces only, and if youâre not planning on doing that, goto the other side of the table which is the fossil side. Now mind you this whole table is labeled âkids tableâ and maybe we would have built a necklace? But it was very obvious we werenât welcome regardless of the sign outside that reads âkids love this placeâ. Every business in this beautiful town has welcomed us and our respectful children but not the Anna Maria Rock...
Read moreWe actually had a nice time here and my father in law loves going there and chatting about stones, mining etc. I would have given 5 stars, but unfortunately there was a mistake that hasn't been corrected due to lack of communication. My mother in law bought us a gorgeous Mexican mask but was charged $10 more than it was priced. She has left voicemails, but no response (I did also) & it's not the closest drive for them (we are back in TX). Hopefully, they will check messages and contact her to resolve. I would love to update my review to reflect that! Edit: (see his response) The owner responded saying I was charged correctly even though my photo of the mask with price still on it and the receipt proves otherwise! Lost 4 customers from this interaction (and prob more from...
