Apex Outfitter & Board Co. — Attraction in Apex

So, I had such a strange experience. Walked in the door after a soccer game with my son. We were immediately asked if there is anything we need and can help with when walking 5 steps into the door. Not an issue and stated we are from a neighboring city and our first time. When I said we were not from Apex, was asked where we were from. Walked around the store as my wife would have loved some of the items they have, only to be followed around the store by one of the employees. Walked upstairs to a group of 6 white patrons talking with not one employee upstairs with them.I am a person of color as was the employee who was following us around. Regardless of why it was being done to help or to hawk, it came off terrible disrespectful - 01/21 -Follow up from the owner seems respectful and I feel like my review while honest is a bit harsh for a first experience. Superior customer service!

While there was a communications mix up when it came to ordering a product. It was simply a miss communication.

In a way thanks to the miss communication I was able to speak to Kyle (the owner) and he was able to find me the perfect helmet.

I needed a helmet for my Onewheel+ XR, a self balancing electronic skateboard. Not only can you buy one at this store, you can also get your helmet and pads. Because while the Onewheel is the most amazing board on the planet allowing you to snowboard/surf the dry ground; I would recommend pads while you learn!

This is a great local business that deserves our support and business, I can’t wait to see these stores grow! Hopefully with more Onewheel...
