Cute little cafe and bistro in downtown Apex! We got coffees and an avocado toast - the avocado toast is a crazy value, $10 for 2 slices of bread and a thick layer of smashed avocado. The shop is very cute and is a nice location to grab a bite or do some remote work. Only three stars because WOW there's some bad hygiene practices happening. We watched 2 employees walk in the back door and immediately come in behind the counter and start working - no hand washing at all. One of them used the point of sale, which was being used by other baristas who were also making drinks and food. The other employee was making lots of food items. Additionally, the employee making food only switched gloves once or twice between multiple orders and touched her face multiple times while preparing orders. It also seems like one of the hot coffee carafes is weirdly close to the floor. It's not ON the floor? But it's on a lower level of a stainless steel table, meaning your coffee cup is about 3 inches off the ground (and the carafe spout is about 6 inches off the ground!) when it is being filled. It doesn't seem like a great practice. Even though the drinks are good and the food is a good value, poor hygiene practice is enough for me to not visit again.

I'd never been here before last week and now I've been here twice lol! This is a cool little spot right in the middle of downtown Apex. Both times I've been here have been on Sundays. It was easy to find a parking spot on the street both times. I came here last week because Google told me they had smoothies. When I looked at their menu, I was delighted to see they so serve Açaí! That's a win/win for me! The place itself is small, but there are plenty of seats inside as well as outside. They have a shop on the side that offers shirts, and other sundries. I ordered the PB and Jammin as well as the Conquer the Day smoothie. Both were fantastic! My son tried a bowl for the first time and he loved it! The bowls are pricey, but the portions are big. They fill the bowls up past the top, so I feel like you definitely get your moneys worth. All the staff members I met so far were great! I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

The good: the majik Mike smoothie was tasty. The Reuben was good. The not-so-good: the Reuben was skiiiimpy on meat and the classic avocado toast was a little bitter to me, especially in an area where it looked like all the spice was concentrated (darker green spot in the photos). The bad: the person at the counter said they'd bring our food out to us (sitting outside). We waited quite a while. After we saw other people had come and gone with food, we went in to find out about ours. Our food has been sitting on the counter waiting for us and had become a cold sandwich and toast and a melted smoothie. We would have waited to get it ourselves if they hadn't told us they'd bring it out to us

Reposting as I think my previous review got deleted. I wonder why? So i have a very detailed write up lined up and maybe it’ll be perceived too critical by the business and some others. I can start off with the biggest bummer.. we loved the blue berry muffin and double chocolate muffin until today and even gave business to mission market over common grounds which was our go to before that. Used to grab scones and occasional muffin. Until today cause ww just realized that these muffins are from Costco and not made by a local small business bakery around here. I knew mission market didnt make them. And btw these are 12 muffins for $9 at Costo.I get that they are running a business so gotta make money so i wont judge them on that. Now the second part is their acai bowls.. again i knew that they made their from ready pouches (come to think about mostly from Costco since its sweetened acai that they use and Costco only sells sweetened version). Anyways thats not the issue . The problem was the portions. We’ve had a hit and miss experience with the portions and since Jan 2022 i had my wisdom teeth extracted so i started avoiding granola and hemp seeds and honey.. and just asked for the bowl to be a bit topped up (again thinking that these things are customizable). Fast forward to April it came to a point where it was not worth requesting for customization cause most times it was a hit and miss and i think it cause it would take up more acai and hence more cost for my bowl. The sad part is if they had just asked me to pay a bit extra for the addition i would have gladly done that but instead I just took matter in my hands. So now I get sambazon’s zero sugar acai packs (4 pack for $6) in any grocery store and use three of it for two big bowls for my wife and I. I do add other things which are way more filling. I freeze fresh bananas, blueberries, strawberries, avacado and add harmless harvest’s cocunut smoothie or water and add that to the acai packet, add some almond milk, add some chocolate protein so mild sweetness, plain peanut butter (made fresh from roasted peanut butter- available in fresh market/ whole foods) blend it in my vitamix. You ll have to adjust the almond milk for the correct texture but it comes 90-95% close to the mission market bowl so am glad i went through all the process to discover that i could replicate this at home so i dont have to worry about the portions or anything. In a nutshell they lost a very regular $100-150 / month paying customer who has been around for at least 10 months or so and would have continued for a...

As a coffee lover, I truly enjoy having a real barista make the correct espresso drink I desire when I make my way out to a cafe. Today I ordered a cortado here, and what I received was a latte. Warm milk was to the top of a 12oz cup. When questioned, the workers there said 'that IS a cortado', though it obviously was not if you know anything about espresso. Their excuse was 'we didn't have any small cups." Just Google what one is and you'll see, it's a shot of espresso and a dollop of foam. There's a reason why you open up a cafe and buy a very expensive espresso machine... Patrons want a particular thing and expect to receive the correct drink for various reasons. When the staff is not trained on how to be true baristas, you wonder why people open these types of businesses in the first place. They did offer to remake it, but I didn't want to explain how a cortado was made since they acted like I was wrong and it's not my job to train your staff how to make espresso drinks. That being said, one piece of toast with a skimpy amount of smoked salmon, cream cheese and thin slices of cucumbers was $14. What a rip off!!! As far as functionality and flow go, their menu was located right above the trash, so people are standing there to figure out their order and you are trying to throw away items, so people have to move out of your way. Oh and one last remark... The inside of their toilet was literally covered in feces and trash was all over the ground in the bathroom. I couldn't even relieve myself because it smelled so terrible. I foresee this place going under very soon! Is this another absent...

Let me start by saying I have been to Mission Market so many times in the past and it was wonderful but they have changed and not for the better.

Today I ordered a smoothie online at 12:28 and was told it would be ready at 12:43 so I decided to walk there with my dog (less than 0.5 miles from me). When I arrived I called their phone number because they offer curbside pickup and it just rung, no one ever picked up so I had to ask someone to watch my dog while I went inside to get my smoothie (that annoyed me a lot as I wouldn't have walked my dog there if I knew I would be having to go inside). I went back outside to get my dog and tried my smoothie. It was so warm and watered down or melted that I didn't drink any of it. Cleary it was made right when I ordered it and not close to when I was told to pick it up. I threw it away on my walk home because I couldn't go back inside to speak with someone because I had my dog and I couldn't just call and talk to them because they don't answer their phone.

I have been ordering ahead / online from Mission Market for years and loved that they did curbside pickup because it was easy and they were always so fast but the previous time and this current time they clearly no longer offer curbside pickup so why is it still an option when ordering online?

Very frustrated and likely will not being go back to Mission Market, sad because I love the atmosphere and how their...
