Disappointing, such a cool place and great location but the website to book an appointment has been down for 4 days. I decide to call and make an appointment, couldn’t get thru and left a voicemail. No return call for about 2 hours so I call again and made an appointment for 11:30a today. I get there at 11:25, take a seat and it looks like the only barber working who I had the appointment with just sat a walk-in for a cut. He asks me if I have an appointment and then when he looks at the computer tells me he’s running behind and I would have time to get a coffee. I waited for 10 minutes then decided to leave because he just started giving the teen a mullet haircut (per his request). The idea of an appointment is not taking a walk-in when you have an appointment in 5 minutes. The shop didn’t even call when it was “my time” to find out where I was, or maybe it’s a really detailed mullet that’s still being styled...12...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into The Exchange, I was greeted with a sense of traditional charm blended with modern professionalism. The ambiance of the shop set the perfect stage for what was to be an outstanding experience.
My barber, Tyee, was a true artisan in his craft. Not only did he provide an exceptional haircut, but he also took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. His attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring every strand of hair was perfectly in place. The traditional cuts and shaves offered here are a testament to the skill and dedication of the staff.
I left not just with a great haircut, but with a renewed appreciation for what a barbershop experience should be. It's rare to find such a perfect blend of skill, tradition, and customer care. I highly recommend The Exchange to anyone seeking not just a haircut, but an experience that leaves you feeling...
Read moreMy husband wouldn’t leave a review because he is so pissed, so I will do it. Today was my husband’s first (and last) time at this place. His appointment was with Trevon. My husband had a picture of a haircut he received outside of NC and Trevon didn’t bother even looking… he said “yeah, yeah, that’s just how to style it, what number do you want?”. My husband told him he doesn’t know the number and tried to have Trevon to look at the picture, but Trevon couldn’t be bothered. My husband then repeatedly asked / instructed (pleated?) not too short but what do you know… Trevon left about an inch of hair on top and totally ruined my husband’s hair. And all of that for $50! Highly recommend you do not go here. Adding photos of the haircut my husband asked for vs the haircut that...
