I will start by saying I buy almost everything used, either at thrift stores or yard sales. Maybe I'm spoiled with some of the prices I get on things but in general, I did think the prices here were high. I initially found a bag of cookie cutters that didn't have a price on them and a nice woman working there priced them at $1.19....perfect, a great price. After that, almost everything I looked at was overpriced. I found a set of fun 70s glasses with tiki masks on them but the set of six was $24 (they can be purchased online for $25). I wish thrift stores would start to realize that having regular customers leave with a treasure that they got for a fair price will ultimately generate more flow than squeezing every last dime out of things and scaring people away. eBay prices are based on a world market of shoppers. Pricing an item in a thrift shop for this same price is ultimately penny wise and pound foolish because those people won't be back to buy many other others they're in the market for for fear that they'll be overpriced. I wish I could say I'd be back but with another thrift store just as large in size, closer to me, and with prices at a fraction of this store's, I can't say I'll be...
Read moreI’ll start by saying I absolutely love the staff who work here. The ladies at the front are always kind and so helpful. Biggest issue here though is pricing and variety. The store is very well organized, but you’ll only find seasonal items on the floor. They unfortunately keep out only items for the season that they’re currently in. In the summer, you’ll find a good selection of short sleeves and tanks, but you won’t find any long sleeves or sweaters. Additionally, I don’t know what’s been happening to their pricing, but I collect watches and stopped by to check out their selection and the pricing absolutely blew my mind. It’s probably the worst I’ve ever seen out of any store I’ve stopped in. They had a very cheap watch that was completely falling apart for $10. The entire selection was marked $6-20 and they were all cheap, fashion watches that were mostly all damaged. Meanwhile, you can get a good quality suitcase for $10 on the other side of the store or a gorgeous couch for $60 so it’s not all crazy….but holy moly...
Read moreWow... this kind of startled me. What a disappointment. I guess I should have paid better attention to the reviews and noticed it was only people that have shopped there, not necessarily donatees. My suggestion to the store: either you fill out the receipt or don't make fun of the number someone writes in. If you are going to say "write what you think you would get at a garage sale"... and I do just that ... (I've always learned about 1/10 of what you paid for unused and 1/15 for very gently used).... please don't use sarcasm and unkind comments to tell me how little you think of my donations. That guy made me feel sad about something I was really looking forward to doing. You've put me in my place and I won't bother you again but please, if at all possible... either fill it in for us or be kind and gracious. I will find another way to give to this cause I feel strongly...
