Elf's Gifts — Attraction in Appleton

Very overpriced products, I made a comment about the prices and the manager got very defensive and rude. I told her not to take it personally, just an observation on a customers part. Manager replied, "so how much do you pay a glass blower?" And I said "much much less than this." Manager rolled her eyes and I said, "no reason to be salty, again, just an observation by a customer to the stores manager," and she replied with, "well how do you think I'm supposed to take that?" And I replied with, "not personally, as I've already told you, you're a business owner, maybe learn to take constructive criticism from a customer instead of being blatantly rude to them," she rolled her eyes again and in so many words told me to leave the store, even though I had indeed made a purchase.

Absolute worst customer service, management and just plain people skills I have ever encountered in a retail establishment, ever. Period.

On the way out I called a buddy and told him what happened and he as well as about 5 other people I know said they've had similar experiences.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. There are plenty of better places in the fox valley to procure these types of products.

I went to Elf's Gifts a few months ago with my family. They have some random stuff that's cool, but it's mostly water pipes and typical head shop items. As we were browsing, I commented to my husband how CBD oil doesn't work. I was referring on myself (I have PTSD, among other issues). The girl behind the counter must've gotten offended because she started talking a mile-a-minute about how wrong I was and how great and effective CBD oil was for so many people, including herself. I don't think she took a breath. Over the course of the next hour, I heard this girl's life story and everything in between, and I think I got maybe two words in. I was very uncomfortable and desperately tried to figure out a way to end the conversation without coming across as rude, but this girl was completely clueless to body language. I'm sure I gave a ton of visual clues that I was looking for the exit. I didn't even get to walk through half the store because of this girl's non-stop chatter. We haven't...

This was my first time visiting since Elf's moved to their new location! Seems like there is more space and more products available. Gentleman at the counter was great! I had made a phone call for some questions first and all were answered- when I arrived at the store I was greeted and realized we had talked on the phone. Al my questions were answered and I was offered deals/savings for my future visits! I also had a small issue with one of my purchases (probably user error honestly), but it was quickly, easily, and KINDLY taken care of for me by the same gentleman (I did not get his name unfortunately).

I have had issues with this store in the past, but with the great service and new location I am planning to...
