Quinto Sol Super Market — Attraction in Appleton

I like this grocery store because of the things that they offer and that it is hard to find them anywhere else. Their meats are very tasty, specially the "cecina". However, there have been times where I buy a yogurt or a dairy product that has been expired and I drink it and don't notice the exp date until after, that is a big no no. That just makes me think that who knows how long they keep their meats there and question the freshness of their products. I get that not a lot of people shops there since its mainly Mexican products but they should be on top of their game and make sure to pay attention to the exp dates. its very annoying to buy something and realize its expired when you are...

While in the area for soccer I was really excited to go get some authentic mexican groceries. I used to live in Mexico, so the place was typical for me. We have a chicano family, are well traveled & speak spanish.

The good: you will find items that are not easy to find everywhere. The location is good.

The bad: either they only want local customers or are racist. The two ladies were very rude & told us to just give cash or put our card in, but wouldnt give us a price. They won't put prices on many items. The women in front invent prices depending on the customer. My husband returned some items less than 3 mins later & the lady argued that people cannot return items. The bread was old.

It's obvious that this place does not want more customers.

Parece que inventan precios según el cliente y salieron doble lo normal. Mi esposo devolvió algunos artículos en menos de 3 minutos de ver el recibo y la señora argumentó que las personas no pueden devolver cosas allí. El pan estaba viejo.

Es obvio que este lugar no quiere...

I would have rated this place zero stars if I could. I went to this mexican supermarket to get a beverage. (BIG MISTAKE) I got this yougurt strawberry banana smoothie and now I have food poison ing. The "sell by" date on the drink was in july 5th, and it is july 9th as of today. Before I could notice the date, I have already finished more than half of the smoothie. Now im very sick.
