EDIT after all the issues i went through and after i was promised a bran new phone for a replacement i got a refurbished phone as a replacement and i have had a mess of issues with it from the screen going black, barley holding a charge for half a day and non responsive touch.Beyond unimpressed with this company.
I dropped my phone off on Saturday May 2nd at 10 am The original estimated time to fix my broken screen was 4 hours. They didn't call me until 30 minutes before they closed and told me they were having complications with the phone registering touch and told me they needed to order another part and would have it overnighted.
Okay fine.
Sunday I had to call them and get an update. The guy told me the part wasn't ordered the day before and he would order it Monday. I explained I am working from home and having a phone isn't an option for my job. All he could tell me is it would be two days max to fix.
Again fine.
A few days passed and still no call. So Tuesday night I called after missing TWO days of work and they said the part wasn't even in yet. I was then forced to go buy a track phone so I could do my job and when I told him that he said "well I always recommend people have a back up device" WHY WOULD I NEED A BACK UP FOR A 4 HOUR ESTIMATED TIME.
$70.00 later on a stupid tracphone I was able to return to work and I got a months worth of minutes figuring that would be more than enough.
Wrong
I called back several times within the next TWO weeks and I got excuse after excuse."we needed more parts" "we are having trouble even tho we replaced the screen and motherboard" so basically they didn't know how to build a Google Pixel 4 XL and just wouldn't admit it.
Finally after A MONTH my fiance called a corporate number he found from another person's review (who also said the Appleton techs have no idea what they are doing) and he talked to the DM's boss. I got a call from the district manager later that day and he apologized and told me I wouldn't have to pay for the repairs and if he would've known I was using a tracphone he would've given me a loaner phone. I told him that I told the guy in the store and he said it must've been miscommunication..... NOPE
He offered me a temp phone and told me they are ordering me a new phone and it would be here by today 6/5.
Now mind you I have been more than patient with this company and there countless lies and mistakes. I never once yelled or said mean things. I got a call and was told that my phone was in and I could pick it up
Great
I got there and not only was a given a phone with no charge to it what so ever, THEY STILL CHARGED ME $199.00. I talked him down to $168.00 but that is still $168.00 more than I should've paid for everything.
If you made it this far just know you have been warned. Probably the worst customer service I have ever received.
I will never be doing business...
Read moreThis was a horrible experience to say the least. I originally brought my iPhone to have the display replaced back in August. When I stopped back within the hour to pick up the phone, the display was not even working. They claimed they "tested" it before I arrived, the manager Matthew told me they would replace it again and I had to come back within the hour.
A few weeks later, My second display was also faulty they replaced. The 3D Touch was not operable and the display would not react to touching it at times. I called the manager, Matthew, and he stated they would replace the display again for a third time. And guess what? The third display was 'faulty' as well. And to make the matter worse, they had no other displays in the store to fix the phone, rendering me with a broken phone for four days until the next shipment could arrive on a Tuesday. And not one apology from the Store manager, Matthew.
This time, I contacted Corporate and requested they look into this situation. They basically apologized for the entire inconvenience and ensure I would be refunded, being the store Manager, Matthew, never once apologized for anything or never even remotely offered to compensate me for this experience.
Finally, I arrived back on Tuesday to have my broken phone display replaced for the fourth time. And that display did not work either, and it also was not assembled properly, as the display was popping out of place next to the power button. Matthew the store manager issued the refund and never apologized for this horrible experience. (Matthew issued the refund was because corporate was involved and I seeking at filing a law suit against the Appleton store.)
After the refund was issued, I followed up with Corporate and complained against Matthews lack of courtesy and unprofessional demeanor during this entire process, which Natalie from Corporate had to apologize for him, in which she assured his store would be monitored in the future for quality assurance purposes.
For the record, I never leave 'Bad reviews', but this store, more specifically, Matthew the store manager deserves this 'One star review' and I want everyone to know about it. I understand things can go wrong, but the lack of caring from Matthew was appalling.
The staff appears friendly, but the lesson learned, its better if you allow Apple to make the necessary OEM repairs with quality parts where you do not have to make FOUR trips to a store to have a display replaced properly the first time.
Also, I realize this unrelated, but I find it unpleasant that the store smells like someone is smoking in the building in the back where they repair devices, and they try to mask the cigarette odor with some deodorizer. Another customer commented on...
Read moreI tried to take my Mac book air here for a broken letter "n" key probably about a month or so ago. First they told me they'd have to order the part and then when I asked how long it would take they said it'd be 6 hours. I come back a week later and when I drop off the laptop turns out the part is defective and I have to wait for a new part. Okay no big deal these things happen. I come back probably about a month later because I work in another city and finally have time to drop it off. I drop it off Friday evening around 5pm and then call them Saturday around 2pm to see where they're at. First they tell me that they don't know when it will be done. Okay? What kind of answer is that. This is my work and school computer. I leave on Monday to head back to Milwaukee and I need it. The only reason I dropped it off Friday evening was because I was told previously that it'd only take 6 hours. If it was gonna take longer I wouldn't have dropped it off at all. Then I ask if it will be done by Sunday and they say they don't know again and that the technician that will be fixing it is gone Sunday. Great. Then they say they'll call me when it's finished. Well I arrive Sunday as soon as they open to check the status and they bring it out to me still unfixed. Saying that the keyboard part they ordered is too small. Like how pathetic. How did you not realize the part was too small immediately when you had it next to my computer. They obviously tried to take it apart and put it in because now my touch pad is sitting in there slightly crooked and makes a loud clicking noise. Which is awesome. I had a slightly broken $1200 computer and instead of fixing it they made it more junky. Won't be...
