Honestly, iām not one to write a review but the way they treated my family and I at this movie theatre needs to be noted. Iāve also called this place for a whole day trying to get in contact with a manager and it just rings to no answer. Long story short, iām 20 years old, 21 next month and they stopped me from watching an R rated movie with my 15 year old sister since I āneed to be 21ā. As a manager at my own store, like the girl who was my age who claimed to be the manager of the theatre, I truly understand when things come into policy. So politely I asked if we could switch the tickets. We switched to a pg 13 movie but when we sat down they literally kicked us out and told me this was my only warning or else I will not get a refund. This was absurd and especially overwhelming when they had just said that we can switch the tickets. Only after that I was starting to get fed up and wanted my refund. When receiving the refund, the āmanagerā mentioned they can not do that anymore and can only give me the amount of tickets I bought but just for another AMC theatre and they also came with an expiration date of less than a month. All of this because I was unintentionally violating a policy when I bought the rated R tickets online. I ordered tickets just to get kicked out and I got no refund. Point being, as a manager you would much rather be known for being that person who lets certain things lose because you were literally put in that position to make those decisions. It wouldnāt have affected anything if we were able to watch the movie, my sister is 15 and iām 21 next month itās really not that serious. But now iām left with an experience that I wonāt ever forget and I especially wonāt ever be spending another dime at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I love going to the movies. We especially like Marvel and DC flicks. Often we buy tickets to opening day on movies that usually come with a cool promotional gift (while supply's last of course) For example, Shazam (gift was a comic) spiderman far from home (gift was a spiderman figurine). My issue is that although the website states the gift is available for ticket purchases that meet the requirements to receive the gift (which I did purchase, both times). The employees both times would not honor this on opening day of the movie (although they had a box literally right in front of me). For the new spiderman movie, the website clearly states that the gift is available from july 2nd-7th (once again, while supply's last). Yesterday at the spiderman far from home movie, the employee would not give me the gift. Stating the gift was only for the 8pm showing. Not true. I read all I could on the website and nowhere did it say this. Not only was the employee rude, she dismissed me as if I was trying to get something for free. I went back first thing this morning to speak with a manager. The same employee from the day before was at the door this morning. I asked to speak to a manager and she began to act annoyed. She then pointed to the ground off to the right and said I had to wait there (like she was a cop or something). So I did what she asked. The manager promptly came to me and really turned it around. She was nice and very eager to address my issue. She gave me the figurines and apologized. She displayed some professionalism, and excellent customer service skills. Thank you. If you're reading this, make sure you get what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased our tickets online using AMC gift cards. I was offered reserved seating and selected our seats from the seating chart displayed. There was no option to print the tickets and a confirmation number was emailed with no instructions on the admission procedure upon arrival at the theatre was given, nor were the selected reserved seats indicated. We we arrived there was a bank of automated ticket dispensers in front and we did not see a "box office", so we went inside, contacted the person taking the tickets and were directed to the customer service desk. A pleasant young lady assisted us. She printed out our tickets using the information in the email on my cellphone. We returned to the ticket attendant who directed us to Theatre 16 where LA LA Land was showing. We anticipated that an usher would direct us to our reserved seats. There was no usher to be found and to our surprise the seating was nothing like the diagram on line showed. The theatre was filling quickly and a kind lady moved allowing us sit together. The actual seats were not what were expected, but were ok. Other than the couple sitting next to us that chatted throughout the film ignoring requests from a number of patrons to be quiet, we liked the movie itself. The experience with ticketing online and the misleading seating were very...
