The food and atmosphere were amazing, but it seems that our waitress, whose name was Katie, was either having a bad day or just had a nasty attitude. Today, we came here to enjoy both the meals and the atmosphere. While we were waiting for our meals, we ate the free bread given to us and asked for a refill, but that was when she started giving us attitude. When my friends and I finished our meals, I asked her if she could break the bill into 3, but she walked off before I could finish. That didn't seem like an issue at all until it became very obvious that the waitress had a problem with us. Our total was $34.20, and I placed down $40 with 2 dimes. The waitress took the money, but didn't give me back my change. The whole time while I was waiting for my change, she kept on walking past our table giving us weird glances. Eventually, after 10 minutes, she did come by but asked, "What are you waiting for?" I believe that was the start when we all knew there was an issue going on. I asked that I was waiting for my change and she told me to follow her to the register. That was when the lady started accusing me of only giving her 1 dime and a penny. I gave her 2 dimes. I assumed that I dropped a dime and reached for another out of my wallet, but suddenly she began to lecture me, saying that she, "had to give back my change from her own wallet." I had no clue why she was giving me back MY change out of her OWN wallet when there were clearly dollar bills in the register. She continued lecturing me, saying something along the lines of, "Workers only get paid by tax." It was something like that because I couldn't properly hear her due to the people around us. Whole time that she was talking to me, I felt humiliated and upset. Mind you, me and my friends are between the ages of 14 and 15. I left the restaurant crying because of the embarrassment. Would come here again because of the food, but I hope to never be served by Katie again. (Lady's race is mixed although I am not sure if that is her actual ethnicity, and has her dark brown hair...
Read moreI was really disappointed with my visit today. I brought my girlfriend for her birthday because she really loves the food and of course the cheese cake. By the time our food came out another table was sat nearby with 3 screaming children (about 10 years old). It was just us and them sitting outside so while we were annoyed we tried to ignore it. Until the kids started running back and forth right next to our table. This one kid almost knocked our drinks over. The server sees this and I just ask "can you do something about this?" He says yes and gets someone to come ask them to please stop the kids from running around. A couple minutes later they start running around again, literally less than a foot from me rolling around on the floor. I asked her "can you do something about this", obviously frustrated, but I was still cordial. Shes says " yeah but you don't be like that there just kids playing around" less than a minute later, running next to us again, climbing the poles for the outdoor heat lamps. I didn't say anything when they were climbing and jumping on their own table. But now I'm mad, So now I go in to talk to the manager. The manager comes out to ask them to not disturb the other guest, and this woman straight tells him no! she's gonna let her kids run around if they want. At this point she actively starts encouraging these kids to yell, be loud and disruptive. The manager felt bad enough about it to take a couple items off the bill, which was appreciated as a gesture but it was the worst restaurant experience I've had in a very long time. And I've worked at restaurants for years. Some parents let their kids act like animals, but you don't let them ruin your other guests'experience. I'm still just very...
Read moreI can appreciate that with the current Covid-environment, restaurants that offer curbside are a blessing. However, I just had a bad experience with this particular location of the cheesecake factory.
Placed an order for curbside at 12:30 - the system prompted me that due to them being backed up, the order wouldn't be ready for an hour and 15 minutes - totally understandable. Planned it out. We get there - and the food doesn't come out until 3:10 (an hour and twenty on top of the already 1 and 15 minute delay).
The issues I have with this - I actually tried calling them an hour past the scheduled time - but was placed on hold for twenty minutes, before my call was dropped. I go up to the front, and the person who I spoke with was of little help.
So when the food finally comes out, since it's curbside (which by the way was a lie - because their website said they'd bring it to car... but I was told to wait in line when I got there), I ask the server if my order is correct - and she assures me it is, and that they double checked. I get home, my fam is ready to eat... and we're getting the food out of the bags - and THEY FORGOT AN ORDER.
So basically, we waited... and waited some more... got little to no help when we asked for assistance... and paid for a missing item.
I'm sure it was an honest mistake - but it felt bad - and based on the attitude I got from the host-person, I have little faith that even if I were to call for things to get made right, they'd ignore me and tell me pish off.
Again, hopefully my experience was not typical -...
