Ferd Lang Park — Attraction in Arnold Township

THIS IS A REVIEW TO WARN ANYONE BRINGING THEIR DOG TO THE LARGE DOG AREA!!! I was here today with my 3 dogs and my sister's dog. A woman with a black and brindle bull mastiff entered the large dog area. Her dog was growling, snapping and trying to attack my golden retriever. The owner wasn't trying to stop her dog, so I grabbed my dog's collar and was walking toward the exit. Her dog attacked my dog and bit him multiple times. I was trying to get my dogs and kids to the exit and the mastiff's owner was saying, "show them what you got" repeatedly as my dog was being attacked and made no attempt to stop her dog. I was able to get my dogs out and was unable to take a picture but he was wearing a black harness and a black spiked collar. My dog has a puncture wound on his tongue and on the back of his head. There's a lot of fun to be had at this park in Arnold, Missouri! Ferd B. Land Park has a nice playground, sand volleyball courts, quite a few picnic areas, including several reservable pavilions, the Arnold Jaycees Skate Park, and Paw Park, for the canine members of the family. There are also some horseshoe pits, but the ones I saw were missing the posts, which are an essential component of play. The park is well maintained and, relatively clean. The park is a small neighborhood park. It does have a dog park, a playground for kids, some areas with shelter, some areas with just picnic tables. Very busy small park. nice place for the neighborhood. Not much space for walking a dog if you prefer walking trails rather than the dog park area. Which I do prefer to walk with my dog. The parking area is small, and I did not go far enough to check out the restrooms. All in all good for a family to visit with kids if you are in the area and looking for a...
