I had a really disappointing experience at this boba shop, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. When I walked in, the atmosphere felt a little off. The store wasn’t very clean—there were spilled drinks on the counter, and the tables were sticky. It gave off a lack of attention to detail, which set the tone for the rest of the visit.
The staff didn’t seem particularly friendly either. I stood at the counter for a few minutes before anyone acknowledged me, and when they did, the service felt rushed and disinterested. There was no effort to explain the menu or even ask what I preferred. I ended up ordering a classic milk tea with tapioca pearls, hoping for a simple yet satisfying drink.
Unfortunately, the drink was a letdown. The milk tea tasted overly sweet, almost syrupy, and lacked any real depth of flavor. It was more like sugary milk with a hint of tea, which was not what I was expecting at all. The tapioca pearls were soggy and bland—definitely not freshly made. They didn’t have that nice chewy texture you expect from good boba; instead, they felt mushy and off-putting.
Another issue I had was with the temperature. The drink was way too cold, and the ice completely overpowered the flavor. I had asked for a light ice level, but it felt like they added way too much. It’s disappointing when you specifically customize your drink, only for them to ignore your preferences.
The overall ambiance wasn’t much better. It was noisy, with people coming and going quickly, and there was no sense of comfort or relaxation. The place didn’t feel like a spot you’d want to linger in or even enjoy a drink. It was more of a quick stop-and-go kind of place, but without the quality to match it.
All in all, this was not the boba experience I was hoping for. From the lackluster service to the subpar drink quality, it was just a poor visit. There are plenty of other boba shops that take the time to perfect their drinks and provide better customer service, so I won’t be coming back to this one. Very...
Read moreI have given them 3 tries. I will not buy from them again. The first two times I ordered teas that included brown sugar syrup. When the teas were delivered they did not have syrup in them. I will post a picture that shows that the brown sugar syrup was missing. This time I ordered 3 milk teas and a waffle through the Grubhub app. Honey bee’s website states that the milk teas I ordered have the option for non-dairy milk. However, Grubhub’s app does not provide a place to select dairy or non-dairy milk. So I placed an order and in the special instructions comment box I stated “please add brown sugar syrup and non-dairy milk to all three drinks”. My items were delivered with a snotty note from the store staff stating “brown sugar settles at the bottom! Orders are made to the label! Waffle has dairy!”. The drinks that were delivered today very obviously have brown sugar in them unlike the first two orders. But I’m assuming they left the dairy in the teas by the snotty note attached. They should not advertise a dairy free option if they are unable to provide it.
Yes, waffle mix contains dairy. However, I’m assuming the employees at this store are too dumb to know that lactose breaks down during the cooking process. Since the lactose breaks down during the cooking process I can digest the dairy in the waffle but not the milk in the teas. I’m going to throw these drinks in the trash. They are a rude company.

Read moreSo I went here bc I’m temporarily in STL this summer and I do love boba. I’ve tried a lot in stl and I have to say this place does come in as one of the better tasting boba places, however, the price is just not it. Initially I had gone in thinking that the boba came with the drink, but you have to pay an extra dollar on top of the money you’re paying for the drink (except for like 3 drinks). It does have a disclaimer on the website but I thought toppings meant like the crème brûlée topping or Oreo piece toppings, not the actual boba. Anyways, I got a mango slush and added lychee jelly and bf got a taro smoothie with lychee jelly. Two drinks cost us around $20. The mango slush was $8.50, add jelly and it was $9.50. Extremely expensive compared to some other boba places in stl. Cube Tea on Olive Blvd (def recommend there instead) has the same if not better tasting slushes for $6.50 (with the lychee included might I add). I will say the actual shop is cute, has good photo ops and the people making our drinks were very fast so good job to them. But yeah, I recommend going to Olive Blvd. and go to cube tea if you’re wanting the best boba overall in STL, but if you’re choosing between this place and pink tea near Walmart I’d probably choose this in...
