unbelievably bad service on 6/17/21. I don't know where to begin. first off my wife made reservations and asked for a handicap accessible spot for my father in law. He is wheelchair bound. of course they seat us at the only table that has an uneven floor to negotiate the wheelchair with. 2nd the A/C isn't working so it's hot as heck inside sitting at a Hibachi table that's turned on making it hotter than the 9th level of Dante's inferno. We order drinks and they forget my beer and my sons Japanese soda. By the time our waitress brings it my beer is slightly cooler than the hibachi grill. I had to put it in my cup of ice water to cool it down enough to enjoy it. Then I asked for more water before dinner was served. it came as a were finishing our meal. Some 45 minutes later. If l'd have ordered another beer it would have been room temp or worse by the time she brought that. they brought the Sushi with no trays for dipping in soy sauce, no Wasabi and no ginger. they had no sauce trays for the hibachi either. We were completely ignored by the wait staff upon entering the restaurant, had no follow up drink orders after our initial order and no effort was made to attempt to give good service because apparently they had a lot of doordash orders. if you can't take care of the people in your restaurant you probably shouldn't be doing order outs. I spent over $200 on this meal and would have gotten better service at Chuckie Cheeses. Better figure it out soon or you'll have a lot more complaints like this one
Note. THEY REMOVED THIS FROM THEIR...
Read moreCame across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I made a reservation for my husband and I on Saturday night. Never had Hibachi before, so I was excited to experience something new.
This is my experience....
First, our waiter was awful. I ordered a beer, and he did not bring me a mug. We ordered the filet, lobster, and scallops which included salad, soup, and appetizer. When we ordered Calamari, for the appetizer, the waiter looked confused if that was included with our entree. The calamari was served with packets of sweet n sour sauce. Waiter served the soup (which was flavorless), served me a salad and not my husband, even though it was included. The chef was entertaining, however the food was bland and lacked flavor. We ordered another drink with the main coarse, and was served the drinks after we finished our entree. We paid our bill and left.
Then the nightmare continued....
Came home and watched a movie with my husband. About 3 hours later, both my husband and I were throwing up. We both could not keep anything down and was up till 4am being sick. I am convinced we both had food poisoning and will never ever eat there again. I would also add, I have lived in St. Louis for 19 Years, and this is hands-down, the worst dining experience I have ever endured. I hope this negative review will prompt Miyabi to make some changes so others will...
Read moreThe online photos looked so good. We had heard bad reviews but had wanted to try this place for years. We were just so disappointed. We tries supposedly all their best rolls but found them sooo bland and dry. The spicy ones had no flavor, the sauces were watered down and only tasted like cleaner or soap, even our gyoza was all torn up and sticky, dried together in one big glob We couldn't tear apart, soggy paper. They ruined their mochi which would have been fine except they put canned whip cream and chocolate on it? I ordered strawberry mochi not a sundae. We were just so underwhelmed and disappointed. Every bite my husband and I made faces. The only thing that was ok was our steamed edamame. Our waiter was lovely and attentative so it's not the service. The food was just not good. We had wished we just stopped at sushi ai since we were in the area. We just thought this place might be nicer but maybe we are spoiled with good sushi? Plus we had made a reservation a week in advance. They put us in a back little room by the kitchen with a huge group of people, all kinds of noise and horrible smells and hot steam billowing out, we couldn't move or hear each other. It was just a very unpleasant experience for our first time somewhere after waiting so long to try it, but we should have listened to our friends who were...
