Played this course with friends on 5/23/25. Passed by this place a billion times and never played it until then. Staff was friendly, course was in great shape and we had a great time so we booked it again for 5/30/25 the following Friday. While the guys in the pro shop weren't as friendly they weren't bad either. Front 9 was as expected, stopped and got drinks and on our way. The group(s) in front of us either just played 9 or didn't stop as we never saw them again. So we were 3 guys and a lady who just as she was to tee off this guy on a mower just drove by her without looking and she had to wait for him before she could tee off. Not a huge deal but... SO we're on hole 12 and the golf marshal stopped by and told us to pick up the pace so we started playing ready golf. The very next hole he was back on our ass again saying we were holding up the whole course. We picked up our balls on that hole and just moved to the next hole and were about to tee off when he showed up again. This time he started in on us again, telling us there wasn't anyone for three holes in front of us. I looked behind us and there was no group even ready to tee off. I mentioned I had no control on whether or not the groups(s) stopped playing at 9 holes in front of us but if the group behind up wasn't even on the tee box he didn't need to be in our shit and that we had already skipped a hole. The beverage cart girl had just pulled up as this was happening and verified the group(s) in front of us didn't play the back 9. Ok if you've played golf for any amount of time you've been asked to pick up your pace by a marshal a time or two. This was a whole next level rudeness that was completely unnecessary. We finished our round on time. (4hrs20min, good for a Friday on a public course)) but we're fuming over how shitty we were treated. Ruined the back nine for us. He did come by one more time and told us thanks for cooperating, but his rudeness had already destroyed the afternoon. Had he made an apology for his rude behavior I wouldn't be leaving this review. All it takes is one person to make or break and experience ,Too many golf courses to pick from won't be returning...
Read moreNever going to Arbor again. Taking our business to Indian Tree. We arrived on time but there wasn’t anyone outside to explain the procedures with Covid19. By the time I got ahold of someone inside the clubhouse (you can’t go inside) we were 2 minutes late to our Tee time. The employee asked me if I knew I was late and I explained what happened. He then says to me, “ it doesn’t take 2 minutes to call us”.
The ONLY signs explaining the procedures were posted on the clubhouse but they said there were signs everywhere so we had no excuse. Then I was told the manager would come outside so we waited, and waited, and waited. 45 minutes later, they announced on the intercom to call the office. Then Evan tells us we couldn’t golf because we were 3 minutes late. I said that was 45 minutes ago.
According to Even, due to the Covid19 rules, they are required to stagger everyone 14 minutes apart. So we easily had 11 minutes to spare before we could “legally“ T off. Eleven minutes is plenty of time to wait for the party in front of us to play. We were professional (on the phone) and courteous the entire time but then they threatened to call the police to have us escorted.
We drove a half mile down the street to beautiful Indian Tree Golf course. They had someone outside dedicated to helping people navigate the rules. Their Covid19 rules are to stagger people 10minutes apart (not 14 minutes). The Indian Tree course is nicer than Arbor anyway and the people are more friendly so we’ll gladly take our business there...
Read moreThe staff maintains a Beautifully Clean and Scenic journey across this extensive full length course which extends in different directions through alternating terrains with perfectly kept and mowed, green as can be, fields of play, for their guests. Portrayed with Class and Esthetic appeal, that they show off, is an impressive, somewhat more challenging than most, intermediate level of difficulty golf course containing Sand traps and other appropriately entertaining obstacles. Muskrats (little beavers) swim in the, natural looking and bridged for convenience, ponds, as well as a variety of eye catching birds whom make this their home, eloquently featuring Eagles, colorful ducks and more. (Don't worry, there's no geese, nor their shoe ruining droppings). Last but not least, the open to the public Clubhouse (discounts for member/regulars) consists of mostly, well mannered older gentleman and a smaller percentage of a bit less than cordial, yet still well behaving, younger men. The Clubhouse includes a sporting goods shop, a full menu of reasonably priced entries and a full bar offering a variable spread of most anything, including higher end drinks. Oh yeah and last-last but not least the, pleasing to the eye bar tenders and concession cart ladies are Smart, Fun and Friendly. If you love golf give Lake Arbor Golf Course a Shot, with their reasonable prices I give this critique a...
