Friend and I stayed here for Momocon 2025. The hotel is a cool concept, but execution is..... well....
The good: The hotel is a very modern concept, and the lobby has these cool private rooms to either work in or just jam on the guitars mounted on the wall with the provided amp. Cool rock n' roll vibes. The rooms are clean and modern, and there's an Alexa playing jazz from Iheart Radio in the room, as well as some cool mood lighting. There's also an amenity cove in the hallway with ice, cold water, and sparkling water as well as a microwave for use by guests.
The meh: The view of the MB stadium was cool, but the glaring light from the insanely bright digital billboard from the GWCC resulted in us lowering the blinds at 11pm to actually have a dark enough room to sleep. Wild considering its a 10 min walk to the GWCC.
The "modern" rooms leave quite a bit to be desired. There was lighting fixtures in our room that flat out didn't work, and the perimeter light on the bathroom mirror flickered like crazy, resulting in us just keeping it off. We also noticed that some of the paint on the wall is bubbling/peeling.
The bar and restaurant is "cashless" and if you have anything, they take it out of your security deposit first before you can use your card.
Check in is also rather confusing. It looks like its a self-checkin tablet but employees have to do 99% of the process. You just swipe your card when they bring you the reader.
The Bad: Holy nickle n dime. Be aware that the deposit is PER NIGHT. we stayed 3 nights, and had to pony up $300 for our incidental. I have NEVER seen a hotel charge per night. Mini-fridges are also $10 per night. Now to the hotel's credit, in response to the communication failure regarding the deposit, they provided us with the fridge free of charge. A $30 value. (But I consider $30 to have a 2ft³ capacity fridge that barely fit a bottle of wine to be a travesty in itself)
They advertise the hotel as a "smart hotel" which is ironic considering the Alexa speaker is specifically programmed to NOT allow connections to personal devices, so we can't use Bluetooth, only their radio. When I tried connecting, which it appeared IN MY BLUETOOTH MENU, it'll connect, but when I ask Alexa to switch over to Bluetooth, she says "im sorry, thats not available on this device" which means they actively disabled it. There's also no connectivity between Alexa and the lights in the room, half of which didn't work in ours at all. There's also no connectivity between Alexa and the TV. My friend's little sister with her first apartment has full connectivity between the lights, TV, and even kitchen appliances. If a 19 year old college student can figure out how to set up a "smart home", you'd think a international company worth 5 Billion would be able to figure it out when they advertise as such.
There was also loud music playing all day and night, which I wouldn't mind normally, it is a hardrock after all, except there's a certain limit when you can't have a conversation in the lobby. Because of the volume level, you have to shout over it to speak to staff about concerns or check-in/check-out. We could also hear the music clearly from our 4th floor room, which gets a little problematic past 10pm and you want to just sleep. At 3pm? Its fun. Middle of the night? No.
My friend also called ahead and we were told on the phone that there was a microwave IN THE ROOM. while there is still 1 microwave out in the hallway, that was a flat out lie by staff.
Online booking sites also say that they have mini fridges, omitting the per night charge.
If you check out later than 11am without notifying the front desk, its $75. If you notify them that you need late check out, they give you to noon.
Finally, my biggest gripe, and I mean BIGGEST ANNOYANCE, is the stupid as hell sliding barn door on the bathroom with ZERO locking mechanism or even a latch. If you slide it shut with any force beyond surgical precision, it'll bounce off the wall and slide back open entirely. One of the dumbest design choices I...

I liked the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner that were provided.
Everyone we encountered was friendly (though some not very helpful)
Bartender made an excellent Old Fashioned (which is pretty rare)
Cons:
Room was absolutely gross.
I suppose they made a good choice with the carpet because it camouflages pretty much everything. The carpet was very damp around the fridge and next to the bed. The room had clearly not been vacuumed in a while. I stepped on sticky things (god knows what), sharp things, Bobby pins all over the place that were very difficult to see due to the pattern in the carpet (and definitely not mine as I didn't bring any), something that felt like stepping on a diced tomato, etc... I've traveled the world & stayed in hundreds of hotels and never experienced anything like it.
The sofa in the room feels a lot like a rock covered in burlap.
Toilet paper holder wasn’t functioning properly and any time you tried to get TP the entire roll would fall in the floor.
We had 1/4 of a roll of TP in the room when we arrived. No extra roll. TP is thin single ply - worse than gas station TP.
Room had exactly 1 washcloth, 2 towels, and a hand towel for two people.
Bathroom mirror has a light around the frame. Ours flickered constantly like a bad strobe light.
Bathroom has sliding door and no fan making it not very private when staying with someone else.
Apparently you’re supposed to get your own things from an amenity closet that’s located on each floor. That would’ve been fine had it been stocked. It wasn’t. There were a few boxes of tissues and one towel that didn’t appear very clean.
I was excited about the built in reading lights on the bed when we arrived as I had a lot of paperwork to do. They didn’t work.
No option for streaming services on the hotel TV. I could stream to the TV from my laptop but not from my phone or my iPad. Useless since I needed to work on my laptop.
Hallways were excessively loud until around 3am.
Chains to close the window shades were very difficult to pull closed. I’d assume due to the age of them.
You’re supposed to ask Alexa (Amazon echo) for things that you need but it told us she didn’t understand what we were asking for when we used the exact script listed.
Fridge wasn’t cold
Room wouldn’t get cool - despite the thermostat being set to 64 (as low as it would go) I doubt the temperature ever went below 75.
Self-parking is $40 a night.
Parking garage smelled like weed and someone had just dumped a bunch of garbage out of their car and left it there - it was there, taking up two parking spots, for 3 days and it was never cleaned up.
You have to use the room key to get to your floor. This did not work in two of the elevators so we had to just hope we could get one that worked to come.
All of the lights come on when you open the door to the room. I suppose this is a nice feature when you first check in but it’s highly unpleasant when your spouse returns to the room after going to get something and you’re trying to sleep, watching TV, etc... and all of the lights come on in your face.
Rooms are very minimalist - which is fine - but there are no bedside tables / night stands to sit things on. I suppose you’re supposed to use the wide headboard for that but it’s definitely not reachable when you’re laying down.
Headboard has outlets and USB ports in it - but it’s only USB A and they only worked on one side of the bed.
I found it kindof ridiculous that there’s no doorway from the parking garage to the hotel. You have to go outside and around to get to the hotel despite the fact that it definitely shares a wall...
Read moreMy stay was just what I needed. The staff was beyond kind! I was celebrating my birthday that weekend and just wanted to get a bit of peace. Check in was smooth and seamless. The entire hotel smelled wonderful. The bathrooms was superclean....all the restrooms were actually. The beds.......I wish I could have packed the mattress and took it home with me! Best 3 nights of sleep I've had in so long!! There was an issue with my safe but that was taken care of with a new safe all together. The gentleman (slim, African American, sorry I can't remember his name ) first checked the batteries and when that didn't work he installed a new one safe and walked me through making sure I knew how to use it
Josh, one of your supervisors, was so professional. He showed me around the hotel and made sure that I knew where any and everything was that I could have possibly needed. He even provided a few snacks and fresh fruits for my room due to me celebrating my birthday. I got a personal tour of the gym, the complete downstairs lobby and the roof top bar. He showed me how to use Alexa to make sure I had access to any additional amenities. He made sure I knew where the microwave was along with extra coffee and tea, if needed.
Oh let's not forget Lucky in the valet and the other gentleman. Can't remember his name but I think he's an African gentleman with a slight accent and they both always gave service with a smile. They allowed me to park my own car and made sure I always had a spot to park in. I have a handicap sticker in my car so even when the spaces were full during event day, they "created" a spot for me to park!
Demia at the front desk was so personable. I think she was the tall young lady with the braids. We talked about braids and hair and made sure to speak and was kind everytime I stepped through that lobby. There was also another young lady with microlocs I think, and a young lady with short blond hair who were also polite, helpful (my key had to be updated) and just friendly. I'm big on overall kindness. Sometimes the front desk is the very first impression of any hotel. The people you have representing your downstairs lobby are top notch. There, I not only noticed how they interacted with me, but with other guests as well and the service was the same across the board.
Britney, your ops manager is a hoot! Such a kind spirit. Shared some convo about yoga, weightloss, books and just life in general. Made sure to ask how I was whenever she saw my face. I even shared a few of my juices with her that I brought with me from home.
Exchange a few pleasantries with Donny, the am supervisor. Love a firm handshake. Says alot about a man. Another kind and friendly person. Also took some time to stop, say hi and make sure I was enjoying my stay.
DJ Krackbaby! This DJ had me dancing from the time I walked into RT60 to the time I walked out. The music was awesome! Wonderful mix of old-school, new-school, reggaeton, Latin and RnB music. He made sure to shout my name and the name of another person celebrating their birthday also and I got a free drink from Josh. The DJ even took some time out from his set to show me how to do the "Boots on The Ground" dance!
Overall the weekend was filled with laughs, great food, an amazing staff and most of all, peace, something that this busy mom really needed.
To the Reverb staff, thank for you an amazing weekend. Be on the lookout for a little "thank you" from me. I shall...
