Listen, I came for the Hans Zimmer candlelight. The positives. I was in section B. Not in the front but it was the third section. I came a half hour before the show time. Parking was 10 dollars and a bit chaotic with cars leaving from an event at the botanical garden. But we found a slot fast. It was getting heated with cars leaving and people walking out at the same time. Very difficult to navigate.
The hall has NO heat. So don't come here trying to be cute. Wear a jacket. The toilet was clean and small. The seats were staggered in the best way possible. The seats are hard as stone. Thank god the performance was only an hour because IDK how much longer my glutes could have taken the pain.
The stage could have been higher since the seating isn't slanted. You are desperately looking over an ocean of heads to get a glimpse of a violin. Visibility in the back rows was probably non existent. But I saw something in the third section B. If I came earlier I could have sat one row closer. So take that into consideration.
Wine was 10 bucks beer7 all juices sodas 2 bucks. Omg people were chewing ice and twirling the ice in the cups during the music. Don't be that person. If u are whispering everyone can also still hear you. Take off your hat out out of consideration for the person behind you also.
The toilets can be heard flushing. All the staff had to do was close the bathroom doors to prevent the sound of flushing.
Overall great experience! I was very happy when I came. I would do it again all...
Read moreThe venue space is nice! I attended the candlelight concert here. The performance was amazing, chairs were comfortable, bathrooms were clean. Park in the parking deck, level one so that you’re right at the Piedmont Park entrance. Then it’s a very short walk to the Hall.
Pro Tip: If you go during the holiday season and try to enter the parking deck via the Botanical Gardens entrance, tell the workers outside that you’re going to Botanical Gardens and then park at Level 1. They told me the lot was full and made me turn around to park on the street (it was free which was nice). But once I walked into the parking lot, there were sooo many open spaces! If you don’t want to walk then don’t let...
Read moreVery disappointing venue for the candlelight concerts. Any local church will have a better looking candle set up than what Magnolia Hall had for the concert.
Just some candles by the tiny stage which could only really be seen if you're in the first couple rows. Likewise, the stage could only fit 2 musicians. So, the three others couldn't even be seen.
We have no pictures of the set up or anything from the event because we just couldn't see anything from the 5th row. It was a listening-only concert.
Also, the venue doesn't allow you to bring your own food and neither do they have any snacks for sale.
Avoid a candlelight concert here at all costs and pick one of the other venues like the...
