I dont usually review but I have to wear these nails longer than I want so its only fair I came in to get my nails done with my sister who is visiting from out of town I picked lush because I was satisfied with my previous experience When we came in we both told the owner/receptionist I wanted a full set and a pedicure I didnt notice the nail tech started putting acrylic on my bare nail without clarifying so I asked her kindly to take it off She said okay and left to ask the owner The owner came back and asked me if I could just keep the bare acrylic since its already dry I said no but if its too much work to fix it I would just like to have it removed and I’ll just proceed with my pedicure (which was a good experience) The owner said okay its fine and the woman started removing the acrylic She only removed the acrylic on the tip of my nail so that she could put a nail tip there which made my nails extremely thick I complimented her nails a couple of times and said I would like her nail design which was a beautiful almond shaped plain milky white nail design I then showed her a very simple line design and asked if she could do it She said she’ll try I said if she couldn’t do it then ill take white So she said it was getting late and asked to do the white which was fine with me but the final product was bulky, grainy, thick, wide, solid white on an extremely distasteful almond shape nail It doesn’t compliment my hands or nail shape at all which is obtuse because my nails are almond shaped naturally
After this, i thanked her and tried to like my nails but when she went to check us out, my sister noticed the price was not accurate She asked for a breakdown and the woman told us she added a $25 take off fee for the acrylic she mistakenly put on my nails
We told her we wouldnt pay that since it was her mistake (and also since i came in with bare nails) and she got frustrated and called the owner who had left earlier The owner told her to take it off and we paid the rest and did not tip her but tipped the other nail techs
To be honest, my sister told me not to let her do my nails after she removed the acrylic because it seemed like she was upset with me but I wanted to give her a chance
My sister was right though and I think she did my nails badly out of spite
I’ll be back to get them removed and this was...
Read moreA year ago I had the worst experience at this place. For some reason my review was posted on the location ant Atlantic Station (which is not fair because I LOVE that place), so I’m posting for the right location again at Colony Square.
So sad sharing this but I need to. Not my first time at this place and not the first time that I had left frustrated. I always come back to give another chance and try with someone else. But terrible service provided today, so disappointed! I had manicure (SNS + Manicure) and Pedicure (Gel). Although the lady was nice and so delicate on pedicure, I thought it was perfect but after arriving home, I’ve noticed that there were parts of some nails missing polish, also she didn’t trim the inside edges of big toe. Manicure was even worst! She didn’t even clean the smudged Polish on fingers, missing Polish in almost every nail as well. Besides that, always gossiping in their primary language about my wedding ring. She even called a few other employees to check on it (that’s why I know they were talking about the ring). Before leaving I showed Tony, he offered help, he was nice and gave me 10% off for next time. I thought that wasn’t necessary but needed to come back and asked if was possible to have someone cleaning the smudged Polish on fingers. I always make sure to appreciate with tip for a good service, I gave 20% but regretted at the same minute that I left. Spent almost $145 for a bad service. Even though I have 10% off for next time, I won’t be...
Read moreFirst visit here, and unfortunately, I left disappointed. My manicure was pretty good, and the pedicure itself was relaxing, but the polish was messy—on my cuticles and along the sides of my nails. The tech redid them, but the result still wasn’t better. A manager stopped by at one point to advise her, but by then, she had already removed all the polish from one foot with a dremel. The manager told her she didn’t have to remove all of the paint with a dremel to fix the issue. After redoing that foot and working on the other one, I didn’t have the heart to say I was still unhappy and just wanted to leave. She seemed new, so I tried to be understanding.
Then I was rung up incorrectly and didn’t realize it until my best friend and I compared receipts. We both had the luxury mani and luxury pedi, but I was charged for the wrong pedicure. I was told they couldn’t refund the difference but could offer a $15 credit toward my next visit—but I don’t think I’ll be back. I’ve had much better work at other salons for less money. My total with tip was around $233. The quality should be top notch for this price range. I could have unfortunately painted my toenails better myself.
On a positive note, my best friend had a much better experience. His pedicure and manicure both looked close to perfection compared to mine.
All of this undid the relaxation part that we all gladly pay for. The whole time, I felt bad, but even my best friend said, No, your toes aren’t good. We pay good...
