Paradise Beach Shop — Attraction in Atlantic Beach

They aren't as bad as you think. Faira was a wonderful person to be around, she is a very interesting person when you get to know her. She helped me a lot while walking around the store, answering questions I might've had. Selena is also a very sweet person and is a joy to start a conversation with.

Other reviews are talking about getting accused of stealing... It's required that if the metal detector goes off, you have to be checked. What if you actually were stealing? You can't really blame them. The teenagers who work here may be shy, but they are very sweet and wiling to help you.

They also have signs that clearly says no refunds. You have to agree to that by buying an item, you honestly can't blame it on them when you weren't paying attention when you bought something.

I work at a pet shop on the Eastern Shore and I loved their shell selection, they will be going home with me to help house the hermit crabs we have. They also stopped selling hermit crabs here themselves because of the treatment of the crabs. That is awesome that they decided to do what is best for the crabs instead of selling them in bad environments to tourists! I have LOTS of respect for that decision. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, do your research on the proper way to house a hermit crab. Painted shells are poisonous, they are allergic to metals, and they need lots of space and they need substrate to dig. You'd be shocked how differently they need to be cared for rather than how they advertise at the beach.)

The only complaint I would have is the music and how loudly it's played. Being a teenager myself, I didn't like some of the music they played. Just a little quieter so it isn't blaring, and that is the only complaint.

Otherwise, this is a cool store with many cool and eclectic things you can buy. T-shirts and clothes, jewelry, shells, souvenirs, toys and more....

Purchased a two piece bathing suit for my 12 year old daughter on June 13. Used the top on June 14 for two hours and the top started to get undone on the seams. Went to the store to see about a possible exchange and to make them aware of the quality of this particular product. Was meet with a NO attitude by the manager on duty. After I explained and showed him that even some of the same tops still on the rack in the store were already faulty, he agreed to exchange. He reminded me of the store policy and that he was going to make an exception, but when I told him I would probably not come back, he proceeded to throw a tantrum. Threw the faulty on top a rack and said "I was going to help you, but if you are going to talk to me that way, go ahead a leave" walking away. I was taken back a bit, by his aggressiveness. I followed him to the register and asked him to please honor his word and exchange the top. He would not acknowledge me. I ask is he was the owner of the store. He replied "stop harassing me and leave the store or I will call the cops" I continue to ask him if he was the owner, and that it would be ok to call the cops. So he did. I feel bad for the people that have to work with this man, and for the owner of this store. Beware of quality and...

I very recently visited this store while on vacation in Atlantic Beach. The selection of items was great! The price was absolutely not! Keep in mind it is March and the prices could be different in there Summer season, but the prices were way too expensive! I at first found a Tank Top that I really liked, however it was almost like thirty dollars--twenty-one something once you deducted 30%. Nice Tank--Beautiful one--but for that price...No. I then found a sticker for my car and was seriously thinking about getting it, it was like ten dollars and something. Later on I found out that they were actually cheaper than they were online--However online, you could get the sticker in different colors. Then I decided to go back to this store because it's the only one in town that offers Henna Tattoos. I was soon struck by sticker shock at the price they wanted for a five to six inch tattoo! They sell their tattoos by size and such things, and the one I wanted was like $44! They typically last for 3-4 weeks, but $44?!?! This place is way overpriced and they don't hold a good rep with me. If I do go back, it might be to get just a few small things that aren't too badly priced, other than that, they can keep their tattoos! I can go to Topsail and get...
