Tonight I had the “Joy” of visiting the CENTRAL PIER ARCADE & SPEEDWAY - ATLANTIC CITY, NJ off S Tennessee Ave around 10-11p on 7/14. After a night in town we decided it would be fun to try out some go karts. I was with two of my close friends who strive to practice covid safety practices. After buying tickets which had to be used that same day we discovered an issue. The line zigged zagged back and forth and was about a 100 or so people deep. To stay 6’ away you had to leave every other row open which was not being enforced what so ever. In fact zero social distancing was being used and there were many without a mask and no groups 6’ apart. We tried to limit our distance but when we refused to move up in line we were shoved, butted in front of in line, said by guests we made the choice to come out, called names, and no employees were not monitoring what so ever. We were then threatened by guests that if we did not move up in line again we would be handled and that we should shut our mouths. We were forced to get out of line as we did not want to be within 6’ of others and did not want to be hurt by other guests threatening us. We then went right to the manger. He said AC is a rough place and they were trying but there was nothing they could do and their practices were not changing. He went on to say that they were leaving it up to guests to follow the rules and they were not going to force anyone to social distance beside some announcements made on the speaker phone. To that end I have some...
Read moreI am a claw machine fanatic. Super disappointed still and at the time, I was very pissed. I put money into four different claw machine games and 100 percent of the time, I would pick up a stuffed animal, the claw would bring it up, then release it immediately before going back to claim box. Every single time I picked up a toy, it released. This place is a huge scam! I spoke to an employee and he said the owner must win. $16 I spent and didn’t win a single 25 cent souvenir! I lost more money at the arcade with not a single win than I did at EVERY casino on the boardwalk. I will go to AC again but I can assure anyone reading this, they will not find happiness at this arcade. Edit: As soon as I posted this, I realized I should have read the reviews, but who would think to read a review of an arcade right before going in? You just give them your money and test out the waters. I was just hoping at least one machine would’ve worked properly. It sucks the way the world works these days; the scammers out here...
Read morePoor customer service, manager was very rude. I had went onto the go- karts with 4 other family members, and we went for a minute and a half, and then it started to rain. The employees pulled us off of the track, and told us that the ride was over. Everyone else got their refunds, and when I went to get a refund, he said that there is too many people, and he cannot give a refund(even though other people got their refunds). I think he didn't want to give a refund as there was a total of five people in my group and we were the last ones. Immediately, he walked off into the arcade area, into the back room with all of his cash. As a frequent traveler to Atlantic City, I will never go again to the arcade with my family, as the manager is trying to find ways to make money, and is being...
