I don't know what made it so, but this was the most moving monument, memorial, etc., to which I have been -- with the exception of the Vietnam War Wall in Washington, DC. I was in Atlantic City October 2, 2017. I was the only person in the garden, and I felt like I could feel the spirits of those who were quoted on the granite columns. I am not a religious person , but I felt the need to read a quote, place my hand on the carving, put my head against the pillar -- and I could feel the presence of that person's spirit.
