When I arrived, Security instructed me to go in and get my parking pass, and then have the Bellman unload my vehicle. So you don’t get the cart yourself and unload your stuff. Then you park your car in a security guard monitored parking garage, check in at the front desk, go to your room, and call for Bell service to bring your luggage to you. Room 1411 was spacious with a wide view of the city. The kitchen had no oven but did have a cooktop and needed a few things I considered essential for my week’s stay: paring knife, pair of tongs, nonstick skillet, sponge with scratcher for cleaning the skillet debris, and more than 1 packet of single use dishwasher detergent. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub but the plug didn’t fit properly and both times I used it, I had to fill it 3 times. It makes economical sense to me to spend the $5-$10 to find the plug that fits the tub so that your occupants aren’t refilling the tub multiple times during one bath. Also I don’t understand why you only put two rolls of toilet paper in a bathroom for the whole week. I called housekeeping multiple times for more toilet paper. If you know, the next occupant is going to be there for a week, stock it for the week. The living room had a wraparound faux leather sofa that was showing many signs that it was time to be replaced. The cold air return hadn’t been dusted in well - maybe never! There are no washers and dryers in this unit. But they have them on several floors, however you have to download an app and put a $10 minimum on your app so if you only do one load of wash you’ve left money on the app. I chose to hand wash a few things that I needed to get me to my next location. They did have midweek housekeeping service. Several times when I passed the security guard in the lobby and he knew I was headed out of the building, he said be careful. I did noticed a lot of homeless people and some shady characters, not only on the boardwalk, but on the streets. Apparently it is legal to smoke pot on the streets here because when I walked to the 7-Eleven, I felt like I got a contact high. Every night looking out my windows overlooking the city, there were policeman with red lights flashing. I don’t get scared easily, but I can tell you I was not comfortable in Atlantic City by myself. Also, the security guard here told me it would not be a good idea to walk on the boardwalk at night, as well as the Ambassadors that were spread along the boardwalk. I won’t be back to Atlantic City because I felt like a...
Read moreCheck in time at 4:00 not a minute before. One person checking people in for first 1/2 hour. As an owner who has paid maintenance fees for the last 25 years I called 3 days before to check on reservations and to make sure I had a high lever room with ocean view and that wasn’t old. They put this message on my reservation. When we arrived they told me no rooms available except city view on 7th floor. We were there before check in and booked in January. Told them what I requested and was told only one ocean view left on 5th floor. I was not happy but said ok - went to the room and it was so dirty with old worn furniture and stale cigarettes smells. Went back down to front desk and told them i will not take that room Front desk person was rude and nasty and said it’s what we have and I would have to take it. We had an argument and I said will not stay in that dirty room with the view being nothing but rooftops. I asked to speak with a manager who never came out to speak with us. They said they were going to speak to a manager. They made us stand in the lobby for over an hour before giving us another room. We now had to cancel our dinner reservation due to all of this. They gave us one on the 16th floor. It was pretty clean but not perfect. The rug was filthy and dirty spots all over. Missing silverware, glasses, amenities. Kept my shoes on the whole time (7days). If you need anything like toilet paper, towels, etc. you had to call front desk and then wait until they could get someone to bring it to you. Went to front desk to get trash bags and was told to go back to room and wait until someone brings them to you. They give you cheap amenities and not enough . They ruined our vacation. We pay now almost $1,200 year for maintenance fees and get nothing but a dirty room with little bugs I kept killing. We had to fight last year for a better room. This place years ago was very clean, had things going on there and took care of the customers. They give you nothing and the one front desk staff person had a bad attitude and spoke disrespectful to you in front of people. Other people were asking for room changes. Don’t buy into this place. Place is dirty and outdated. Location is nice. The people who take your luggage are always so nice. Garage parking is terrible. Tight squeeze and no elevator for disabled. I also came home with a ding on my car door. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Nobody seems to care. Front desk needs big time training. They don’t even answer...
Read moreI have a service dog..called before we even left to arrive at the hotel and was advised we can certainly bring him.
We get there and get stopped right as we enter by one of the management stating “what services does the dog do?” I was taken back and tried to stay calm and replied “ he is my service dog and Trained on what to do if I have an anxiety or panic attack”. The management rolled their eyes and even though I felt so very disrespected, I did not raise my voice (even though their tones were hostile to me and my family especially my own mother who is handicapped).. I kept replying with a calm tone and not disrespect anyone.
The poor service dog whom is thoroughly trained .. did not bark once..did not growl or anything..he was literally just in my arms being as calm as can be. The only people who were loud and should have been escorted out was the management blocking people whom brought in their service animals into the front doors AFTER speaking to management before booking and after arriving to the hotel.
We are also owners and have been owners for over 20 years.
We also encountered very rude management at the front desk when my mom and I went to PAY for additional parking and ask if we could get a renovated two bedroom as when we spoke to the front desk before arriving, the team member said she put it in our account for the any other team member to see when we check in if she wasn’t there when we arrive.
We were told there are only 3 - two bedroom renovated rooms in the entire building (32 floors and multiple rooms on each floor) and the manager on duty made my mom and I feel we were annoying her when we asked to speak to management because of our concerns with not only our room but also we were not given enough towels for 4 people (the room sleeps 6 people) and toilet paper. We were only allowed 1 roll per day despite how many bathrooms and people that were in the room.
I used to be so excited and happy to arrive at this resort in AC and that it was on the boardwalk but it clear as day that all they care about is overbooking and getting peoples money.
So many people are looking for work and this place unfortunately employs half of disrespectful employees.
They are losing us as owners for the...
