Honestly wasn't super impressed with the spa overall. One of the amenities I really looked forward to was the steam room and I found out after walking into the steam room that was accessible and lit up and tried looking for a dial or something to turn it out. Finally I found out that it wasn't working having to ask the attendant if they could turn it on, they said it was broken. I was given no advisement beforehand or even checking in that day that it was broken, not even a sign on the door saying it was closed. I asked the front staff when it broke and they said the other day and so I asked why I wasn't informed that one of the amenities wasn't available they said " Oh well, there was nothing they could do about it. Just use the sauna, it's basically the same". A sauna isn't the same as a steam room, big difference between dry heat and hot steam.
Another thing was that they have an "experience shower" that once again fully accessible and lit up so I tried it out, found it didn't work and once again asked and sure enough they said it wasn't working. Third thing that wasn't working that looked like it should have been was a waterfall feature in the hot tub area, it would have added a nice feature to the area. Finally the forth and final thing that was broken was the bathing suit dryer in the men's lounge and that surprisingly had a sign on it saying it was broken, but the attendant offered me a bag for it which was a nice consolation.
Other than that, I actually enjoyed the lounge space, spent alot of time at the hot tub. The massage was really good and wonderful, I will say the rooms need to be bigger for the massage therapists as she kept bumping into the walls with her chair.
Also be forewarned about the Pool pass, while it's nice to have access to the pool (when there isn't an event going on, TAKE NOTE OF THIS IF YOU GO ON A WEEKEND) this doesn't guarantee you a seat at the pool. Seating is VERY limited and if they are out of free seats you will have to purchase a "premium" seat if you want a seat or wait for one to free up.
Finally please please please get bigger sandals, they gave me XL and they didn't even fit my feet (I have size 15) and other spas in AC have bigger sizes.
Overall, I wasn't fully impressed with this spa, I really would have liked to been informed before my treatment about some of the amenities not being available. The men's lounge attendant and massage therapist was nice, the front desk staff when I informed them of my issues weren't all that welcoming. I personally wasn't wowed buy the spa for the overall pricing and personally I'd stick with the Rock Spa at Hard Rock or Exhale at...
Read moreBeautiful, large, quite a bit of a walk to get to. Once you arrive your treated nicely by front desk clerk. The clerk will take you back into the locker room where you'll receive your warm robe, and rubber sandals. They offer large lockers with keypad. The restroom is huge lots of showers that offer shampoo and conditioner, razors, q tips, lotion, hair spray, tampons. If you have a treatment you can arrive early or stay after. They have a private dimly lit jacuzzi with working fireplace, steam room, sauna, relaxation chairs. They offer a variety of complimentary refreshments including pretzels, oranges, apples, butter cookies, cucumber water, and tea. My massage therapist was very nice. She did an incredible job making me feel relaxed, spent time on my legs, arms, lower back, neck, shoulders, and a skull massage. You are given a selection of essential oils to choose from for aroma therapy. I chose grapefruit. She used hot compresses, the pressure was just right, and I was guided into a complete state of relaxation. Her lotions were magical, nourishing, and luxuriously silky. My skin drank it up. After my 50 minute essential massage I spent a couple hours soaking up all the private access. Was glad I was given pool passes. I was upset that the time went by so quickly and it left me wishing I was wealthy so I could afford to go everyday. Regardless I was a happy customer. The price was a bit high, plus tip. But worth every second. Highly...
Read moreMy five friends and I visited the spa and were extremely disappointed. They paid $75 each for a spa pass and I had a massage. While my massage was great, (but too expensive and hidden fees) we found the spa to be lacking. First, my massage time had to be changed the day before or else I could not receive the service I paid extra for (deep tissue). The jets in the jacuzzi were out of order and we were not told until we showed up, this could have been disclosed during the phone call the day before. The staff member working the women’s room was unfriendly, shushing us in an extremely echoey room when we were pretty much the only people in there all day. A huge selling point to picking this spa was having access to the pool, which was in fact not heated and freezing cold. I understand the spa doesn’t control this but my friends paying $75 for a cold pool, out of order hot tub and 2 saunas is absurd. The floor around the hot tub was extremely slippery seeing as people are exiting water and my friend slipped. All the staff member did was occasionally put down a towel, no mop or anything and seemed put out to have to do that. I felt like we were constantly watched and a burden to this woman the entire time. I decided to spend my birthday locally instead of traveling to another spa and that was a huge mistake. This was the least relaxing experience I could...
