Michaels — Attraction in Auburn

No stars what so ever, Go to a different store! I placed an order online for store pickup. About two hours later I received both an email and a text that it was ready to pick up. I took off work and drove half an hour to the store. Walked up to the doors and they didn’t open . There were two paper signs taped the the window stating that they were temporarily closed and each sign listed another store that was open, no other explanation. I could see my package near the entrance with my name on it. There were store employees milling around in sits, no body would respond to my gestures and waving they just looked away. I finally started tapping on the window to get attention . A man came from the back of the store and stood in front of me on the other side of the door and proclaimed he was going to call the cops on me for tapping on the window. I asked about my package, he didn’t answer but he replied he’d call the police if I didn’t leave, this went on for a few questions on my part with him only answering he was going to call the police . I told him cancel the order and left. I’m sure is not the quality of person that Michael’s thought they were hiring. Rather a wannabe tough guy. I hope they are relieved of their employment. There were several women standing with me on the sidewalk and witnessed what this person said. They were appalled by his rudeness and promise to write a bad review. I called corporate headquarters and lodged a complaint, I will follow up. I’m 64 years old and have never been insulted enough to leave a review like this. I hope this...

I live everything about this store. The location, the well stocked shelves, the helpful staff and lots of choices. There yarn section is excellent and they have plenty of sales. I've been pleased with their jewelery making supplies and the selections for art paints and brushes. The staff is great when it comes to synchronizing the store website to help find sales and coupons. I wish only they had opportunity to select fabrics and sewing items. The have more than basics for sewing, more than the average craft store. But fabrics or quilting items are not going to be something they specialize in it have much of. Well, I've seen Michael's in passing and knew that it was an art and craft store, but havn't ever been in one. Since I recently started painting again I thought I'd check it out. Oh boy!! Kid in a candy store!! I was really surprised at the vast selection. At a time when we buy items online from you know where,I really liked being able to see and handle the different paints from multiple manufacturers in a variety of sizes and colors. From affordable to expensive. Rated from novice to professional. They offer sales and coupons that closely rival the online prices, with the ability to buy now and create now.
