I've been here so many times over the years. I've had great food with mediocre service. I've had good food with mediocre service. Today I got mediocre food with mediocre service. Not one staff was member friendly. I wasn't greeted. When taking my check to the register, she rang me up without a single word. Not even a 'goodbye' or empty 'have a nice day'. There seemed to be plenty of staff and the restaurant only had a few tables occupied. I went in at 10 am. When my waitress came by for my order she asked me what I wanted and didn't write anything down. At first, I was impressed. When I received my order, It wasn't right. I didn't complain. I just won't return. I do like the kitschy decor and I understand that people are human and make mistakes. I abhor bad customer service. I've received poor service every time I've dined here.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend. I ordered a medium well steak sandwich, and my girlfriend ordered a medium burger with garlic fries. We also ordered onion rings as an appetizer. My steak sandwich was well done, tough, and stringy. It wasn't even sliced up. Just a steak put between a bun. My girlfriend's burger was also well done, and nearing burnt and her fries were not garlic fries. Our onion rings came considerably after the meals were delivered. We on the patio, which is understandable with Corona, but we had five or six flies all over our food and drinks the entire time. When I brought up all these complaints with the waitress all I was offered was 10% off our next visit which will only be helpful if I even come back in first place. The only thing good was the sweet potato fries I ordered.

I love this place. I'm pretty picky about my BBQ being from KC and have lived in The South for almost a decade. When I say they have amazing smoked burnt ends, believe me! They're true to their word and are definitely Texas style. I love their macaroni and cheese. It's super creamy and cheesey with good ol' fashion elbow noodles. Their salads are very nice proportioned and equally distributed with toppings. I absolutely love their steak and cheese sandwich and au jus sauce. The steak is so flavorful, very juicy and thinly sliced to perfection. I also love that they put white American cheese on it and it's nicely toasted. The service is exceptional. I highly recommend this place for small groups, large groups, family dinners and quaint date night for either lunch or dinner!

Google needs NEGATIVE STARS! 👎 👎 👎 👎 👎 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫 ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌ ❌

  1. Waitress set a HOT plate with fresh out of the fryer french fries in front of my 3 year old toddler telling him it was hot! INEXCUSABLE! Nothing says I don't care like trying to BURN a toddler.
  2. BLAND mushroom burger, no seasoning at all to the meat or bun or mushrooms. Not even the Swiss cheese had much flavor, just a pathetic overcooked burger done better anywhere else in town. When it's all grey, the meat is either overcooked to hide it's bad meat or a cook who could care less about the quality of product being served. The waitress asked my husband the temperature he wanted the burger and he ordered it medium. No pink was found beyond the tomato slice. My husband asked if the mushroom burger had a beef patty or was it just a portabella cap (every place is different and the last mushroom burger he ordered in California was just the portebella cap, no meat so he was just asking since the menu offers no description ) and she was utterly annoyed with him.
  3. Charging $2.59 for a 6 ounce cup milk. I knew it was going to be a bad idea to stay and eat when the waitress tossed 3 menus in the middle of the table and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Um, gee, Mind if I crack the menu to answer that or how about a little effort like "hi, I'm soinso and I'll be your waitress, may I start you off with lemonade or iced tea or perhaps something from our full service bar? We all so feature Coke products." I actually had to ask her what all they offered since the menu says softdrinks. I wondered if she was just new but nope, she was greeting the repeat customers by name and joking around with them.
  4. A waitress who does nothing more than the bare minimum seems to be all they hire. I asked how the pulled pork on the children's slider was prepared and she answered smoked. Gee, that's helpful to know at a smokehouse, but I went on to ask if the smoked pulled pork was spice rubbed or served smothered in a bbq sauce and if so is it sweet or spiced as in hot since it's for my 3 year old. Nothing says I don't want a tip than no salesmenship. No descriptions in the menu and no description offered by the waitress when asked, nothing at all, just smoked. ... and he hated it, refused to eat it or the fries. He eats pulled pork at Dickey's and at Dobson's bbq without any issues. I had the same pulled pork on my fully loaded baked potato and it's not good AT ALL. No taste beyond the one note of over sweetened sauce and overly burnt bits of the pork, no smoke, no spices.
  5. The $9.99 Loaded baked potato is a huge let down as it was not a soft baked potato meaning it needed more time baking and the bottom was burnt. The overly salted top skin wasn't crisp or enjoyable. A baked potato is fork tender and does NOT require a steak knife, not that my issued dull no teeth bladed knife should be called such - useless. Apparently not here since its standard issue nonsense. This should be priced below $5 as is. GROSS! AND 6) Security cameras pointed at a wall (yes, it is pointed at a wall just 5 inches away) and not at the wine case or the entry door to the back parkinglot or even at the ROOM. Just another example of how things are done here at the Sierra Grill Smokehouse. The waitstaff didn't care about it when it was mentioned to both of them....

The bride and I were "starving" as we hadn't eaten all day, and it was getting late. An hour from home, we were passing all the typical fast food joints because we were hoping for a family diner, heck even Denny's. Everything else was closed or closing at 8 pm... we saw this place the neon pig that read BBQ and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! We went in and were seated. Our server was pleasant and attentive even though they were closing as well. (9pm) We weren't hurried. We both opted for the brisket sandwich with fries (mine were beer battered, and hers were seasoned) and a house salad. They were out of Blue Moon, so we opted for the 805, no biggie. The salad was cold and crisp, on average portions, and a good amount of croutons. The fries were good and cooked just right! I did like her seasoned fries a bit more than mine. Now the big deal here is the sandwich! A good portion of meat that was tender and jucy and had a great smokey flavor that wasn't overpowering, the tad of sauce they added didn't detract from the flavor. it was served on a soft French roll, I believe, and was buttered and grilled to a nice light crisp...not hard at all! They have and give plenty of sauce, if drowned is your thing. For me, it usually is because I can't seem to find good Q perfection anywhere in cali anymore. Except my own. This was a welcome exception! Hat's off to the pittmaster! prices were reasonable and better than most for BBQ. I'd say a good value. We're going to come back and try the ribs... that's the real test. Overall, this last-minute decision to stop, late nite- on their way to closing BBQ joint, was a great experience. The only negative is that I wish they'd keep the doors open til 10 pm. They'd corner the market cause this town closes down like a southern dry county on Sunday. That seems to be...

This was our first time and last time eating at Sierra Grill. We decided to try the restaurant. I am a busy person & don’t have time to post reviews, but feel obliged to share our meal experience. This was the worse BBQ I had ever tasted in my life. Scratch that, this was the worse meal I have ever had in my life. The service was great, up until the waitress asked how we liked our meal. I very politely told her that it was the worse BBQ I had ever had. She had this shocked look on her face and said, “Really”, then asked if I wanted a box? The corn bread was a flavorless corn muffin. The garlic mash potatoes tasted like instant mash potatoes, sprinkled with garlic salt. The meat was heavy on the BBQ sauce, which tasted like a sugared down Kraft BBQ sauce. The smoked beer can chicken had no flavor and was uncooked in the middle? After dropping off the check, we never saw the waitress again. The folder with the bill was duct taped together and no place to put our visa card. Another waitress had to ask if we were done so she could pick up the bill. We shook our head yes. I thought about speaking to the management, but were so disgusted at that point, we just left. We spent a lot more at Lucille's BBQ, but at least the food was edible. The sad part is that the ribs were tender, but buried in the a BBQ sauce that tasted like Ketsup, Tobasco & sugar. My husband ordered the Pulled Pork, which came in a mound of shredded pork on a plate, no bread or roll. It was also tender & nicely smoked, but doused in bland, tasteless BBQ sauce. I'm still shaking my head in disbelief that nobody came to our table to see why we were unhappy with the meal or what could be...
