Target — Attraction in Auburn

2nd Update 5/4/2025 Due to not getting out as much to run errands, I decided to join Target 360 Circle, since I've shopped there several times for household items, personal items, office supplies, and some food items. So within the last couple of months I decided join Target 360 Circle and subscribed to their membership to receive online purchases delivery service, and each delivery there has ALWAYS been an issue with some of the food items being expired, or produce badly bruised, or sour spoiled milk, or some reason which would signal an item should not be sold to the public, nor at regular cost. I'm so disappointed, disgusted and disheartened that Auburn's main retailer has such disregard and disrespect for the area they serve.

Update 1/1/2025 Updated: Today ordered online groceries from Target both frozen and refrigerated items which were delivered within about 30 minutes, but once arrived, I began putting away the items in the refrigerator and freezer but when I opened the gallon of milk, it smelled badly and looked clunky, nor had expired according to its expiration date, and when poured, out came clusters of chunk milk. I soon called Customer Service which took about 20 minutes on hold, and explained my online order was placed within 30 minutes of its arrival. The Customer Service agent said he would refund the amount and I would need to re-order...I’m thinking “What The Hell”! All the time and energy used to place an order, wait for its delivery, and must re-order… such unprofessional service and without empathy! I guest it’s best to only order non perishable items online, and grocery shop elsewhere.

Prior Review So happy that Target is here because they have mostly everything anyone would need for personal care, household supplies, entertainment, food, clothes, etc. Store is always clean and organized, and supplies are always available. Ordering online is easy with various delivery options. Their employees are always knowledgeable and helpful, and items for returns are easy with several weeks to do it. Highly recommend this store, and hopefully, they will continue to operate as they do now. I will never recommend them nor support them once my membership expires. Hopefully, for Auburns' residents sake, more competitive retailers...

Today, I ordered Gorilla tape along with refrigeration and non-refrigeration items online, in which my previous orders were processed, delivered correctly and quickly, but today, January 1, I placed an online order that arrived about 30 minutes, so when I looked at the milk ordered, it looked clunky with an expiration date January 5, 2025, and once I opened it, it smelled badly, and when I looked inside and poured out some of the milk into a glass, it was completely lumpy and clunky, so I poured out the rest into my sink, and called Customer Service to make a complaint which took about 30 minutes on hold, and was told by CS that my credit card would be refunded, and to place a new order (without any sympathy, or apology, never again)! It’s a shame that anyone should have this experience with Target online food orders or customer service’s non-empathetic attitude, and the ordeal experienced, along with all the time and energy wasted placing an order, and calling various numbers to get in contact with customer service, only being told I will be refunded the milk and must place a new order for its replacement; such a Hugh Waste of Time and Energy, Lack of Empathy and Professionalism of Customer’s loyalty and communication to correct issues with their business.

Also, It’s also a shame that Target is the only major store in Auburn, which says a lot...

Usually I go to Target on the hunt for hotwheels, and toys for my little brother. But when I went there with a grocery list, they have a lot. Other than having my toy route memorized I don't really know where anywhere else in the store was, so I got help, so when I asked where can I find this, or find the cookies, or find that, I would usually get good help, like oh, it on _ isle on the left or right side. One employee I went up to and asked was like "Haven't you ever been to Target? You should know where it is." I replied "No, I have only ever been to Target looking for toys, never explored anywhere else in the store." He looked shocked, maybe even a little offended. And he said "Well maybe you should have payed attention shopping with your parents." He walked away and I just asked another employee who helped me out, but I couldn't ignore how he had treated me, I wondered why all day and into the night. So that is why my review is 4/5.

Summary Target has a wide variety of options, brands and toys. You could get lost here 😂 toys like Hot Wheels, Pokemon Cards, and Barbies. Snacks like Trail Mix, Chips, Seasonings of all kinds, dressings of all kinds, loads of organic produce, and even freeze dried candy. Household items like febreze, baby wipes, stools, and chairs.
