I’m a Senior NMT student of Augusta University. Besides studying, I honestly hate this college in every way. The staff are NOT nice. They will try to fine you in every way and they don’t care about your problem. You forgot your room key? You get fined. You didn’t attend their floor meeting? You get fined. You didn’t fill out their agreement form? You get fined. Parking are nightmares, the closest parking lot is lot 38 which is a mile away from health science campus. You park in any other parking lot you’ll be risking to get yourself a fine. If you live on campus, you better move out right away. They promised we get a stable 50mbps wifi when we moved in, but the actual speed was only 1-5mbps, and the maintenance people will only tell you to upgrade your system. Once your package arrives, the resident hall will hold on to your package and do what they called “processing”. They usually won’t give it to you until at least a week later, they don’t care if you’re in a hurry or not. I was forced to put in another room even though I have signed housing contract in the beginning of the year, and I had no choice but forced to pay $500 more dollars because they told me my original room type was taken by other people. “You’re welcome to find somewhere else to live” is literally what the staff have told me. This college is really bad and money hungry. There’s much more colleges...

This school has screwed me over multiple times. I enrolled paid the fifty dollar enrollment fee, I completed one semester of classes successfully the following semester.I went to register for my classes on the day They told me to register when I did.None of my classes were available. They kept trying to get me to take classes that I did not need.So I decided to differ for that semester. Then the following semester.I went to register for classes and they told me that I was not deferred in the previous semester and that I was uninrolled and in an order for me to continue classes.I have to reapply to the school and pay another fifty dollars. By then, it was already a little late for registering for classes but I went ahead and enrolled paid the additional $50. Like I did before and the adviser told me she would differ me and I could apply for classes in the fall.. Well, it's fall I called and they told me that I was uninrolled as a no show for last Spring semester and that I would need to reapply again and pay another $50 if I wanted to do my classes. This University has put my education on hold for 2 years now. I should already be at UGA. I literally have 4 classes to finish and I'll have my bachelor's. I am...

UPDATE: I checked in on 6/22 for surgery. I had never had to stay overnight in a hospital, but had had family overnight in a few places. AU Health is AWESOME!!! From beginning to end ALL, but one, were so pleasant, kind, efficient, knowledgeable and "on the ball!" The one just had a bit of a "why are you bothering me?" tone of voice, BUT she immediately got the help I needed. I was very grateful that when I pushed the call button, someone answered within seconds and there was someone that came to help me, usually within 30 seconds. It was like I was the only patient on the floor... now that's service!!! The volunteers are also very well trained, knowledgeable and friendly!

I read some complaints about long wait times. In those cases, not knowing all the facts, it sounds as if many are from waiting in ED. My first visit here on March 3rd, had a bit of a wait time, but I was not critical. If I had been, I certainly would have wanted them to take me before taking someone that was not critical... so would you.

FROM A FOLLOW-UP VISIT: Always great care from a friendly staff! I drive 45 minutes just to go there instead of the local hospital that's only 15 minutes from me. Worth the...

My mother-in-law was admitted last night. Got here a few minutes afternoon and didn't get a bed until almost 11pm. They brought out an iv and hooked her up in the lobby. I get here at 2pm today and it took almost 30 minutes to be escorted it the back. My wife called up here on the way here (we were about 10 minutes out) to check to see if we could check in on her. First thing I noticed was the catheter is completely full and then I noticed the blood on her hand from the iv valve. She is on blood thinners. When I mentioned it to her she told me they had seen it but didn't fix it. Then she is also wearing a soiled diaper. I get that they are crazy busy but they got a 40+ minute heads up that we were coming.

The Staff is Awesome! My Mother spent 4 days there and the nursing staff was EVERYTHING they should be and then some! Their kindness and attitudes were outstanding. Their care and love for patients is above the call. They took care of Momma, no doubt.

Dirty bathrooms and missing doors to stalls. Last night there were roaches crawling near the bathrooms. Stall door is leaning up against the wall in there.
