I went in to sell some scrap gold that I had. It was a very small amount but I didn't want to just throw it away. I sat down at the desk where you have your scrap gold weighed and evaluated. Like I said, it was a small amount but I did not expect the outcome that I got. The man weighed my gold and then handed one piece back to me and told me that it was not gold at all. Then he looked at what was left and laughed at me and said, "Penny weight". I ask him to repeat himself and he said "Penny weight, there is not enough gold here to even show up on the scale". He would not give me anything for it. So I picked up the scrap and took it to Windsor Jewelers. They were extremely professional. I gave them the small amount of scrap that I had and then asked him about the piece that the man at Freidman's Jewelers said was not gold. The man at Windsors said it was indeed gold and with the other scrap, he was glad to pay me right at $80 for my "Penny weight" of gold. Freidman's laughed and could not even properly identify gold. This doesn't speak very well...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went in to check out an item in the gun shop and the fact that it was tucked away in the back of the store was cool, however we also stopped to look at jewelry, just to see what they had and we seen a link I liked, when we asked a sales associate for assistance she first completely ignored us, and then when we tried again to get her attention she told us she had to get to another customer-which ended up to be a man who had a complete conversation with her on other subjects not relating to jewelry at all. Another associate came out, and then greeted a (white) customer, when we were clearly in line to be assisted next. Instead of the first associate saying, hey they are next to be serviced, she doesn’t even acknowledge us there waiting. It’s so inexcusable. I’m Mexican, fiancé is black. Just felt completely profiled against. She could have made a sale. Next time they shouldn’t stereotype. That is so classless. Such...
Read moreMy experience at Friedmans Jewelers was nothing but satisfaction. I worked with a young lady by the name of Ms. Brenda! She was very patient, understanding, caring, kindhearted, and just one of the best sales personnel that you can ask for. Shes been saling jewelry for several years, great at what she does and well knowledgeable about jewelry. Not one time did she rush or force me into buying anything. 1st class service since day one. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, if you are in need of purchasing any type of jewelry rather it's from Friedman's or Windsor's. Ask for Ms. Brenda, she will definitely take care of you, and make sure you leave out feeling great that you made the right choice. From this day forward anything peice of jewelry that I purchase, not only will I go to Friedman's to buy it, but I will ask and request for Ms. Brenda!! Thanks for all your help...
