Read moreI was passing through Augusta and needed a place to stop Stretch my legs and use the ladies room. This visitor location was different from any rest areas I have stopped to in the past. The. Atmosphere was very welcoming. There were employees outside taking a break Upon entering the building the that greeted me with a hello how are you. As I entered the building the restrooms were clean. Two stalls were out of order however they were plenty of stalls available for use. The visitor center was filled with maps and brochures of the state and the different cities in the what’s happening in the cities all for free. The concierge Kate was very friendly warm and helpful as she offered me a map of Georgia. This location also has some interesting artwork available for sale. I really enjoyed my visit at this location. Also there were ample parking spaces for cars and Commercial tracks. This is a great location to stop if you have kids or a for baby there’s plenty space for them to run around and scratch their legs is also a nice picnic area available. I will...
Read moreI know covid-19 was still going around when we went, but we had to make a restroom break. No sign on the interstate saying it was closed, so like so many other people, we stopped. Got out and went towards the restroom sign and all the doors were closed. I was not very appreciative for making me stop and thinking I could use the restroom. We saw numerous people stopping after us and getting out of their cars, thinking the same as us, and we had to tell them the doors were locked. Not my job buddy! But I would rather warn people instead of them having to walk about 50 feet before pushing on a locked door. Another thing that was very annoying, was the signs pointing to the restrooms weren't very clear either. If there was a sign saying the restrooms were inside the building, that would be clearer than signs pointing in conflicting directions. I probably won't stop at this welcome center ever again, since I can't predict if it will be open or closed when I drive through. It may be nice during banking hours, but they are not open...
