This is a nice little neighborhood park. I love the enclosed tennis, basketball and four square courts. The only real negative I had about it, is this is StinkBug season and this park has swarms of them on the side of the park with all the large trees. And unfortunately stink bugs like to stow away in your clothes or other items in order to breed in new locations. So anyone coming here, are more than likely assisting these invasive insects in spreading throughout the area. They are like roaches, once they breed they can grow from just a handful into thousands in just a few months time. But unlike roaches, Stink Bugs are extremely difficult to kill and get rid of. And once they get into your home, they are nearly impossible to get rid of. So I highly suggest you avoid this park during the Stink bug season if you can. And if you can’t, be sure to thoroughly check your clothes and all other items for any potential stowaways before getting in your vehicle. And lastly, if you see even just one of these insects it’s extremely important that you kill it, don’t just...
Read moreThis is the City Park in the small town of Aurora, Oregon. The "Colony" where I was raised. Now an old man (53). It's been along time since I played T ball in the Big Boys baseball field. Flew my kites in the freshly mowed grass by Mr. Johnson, the pine cones me an my friends would play in, the tall slide, the Mary go round, the monkey bars. These were things I did there but I most enjoyed the times spent with my family and friends my parents and their friends enjoying the picnic tables , BBQ, shelters and clean freshly cut grass. Now today just as fun as I watch and learn the hard way what Disc Golf is. Very nice course with well maintained equipment and facilities. Fun whatching families with man's best friends enjoying the Park just as I did years ago. The trees are much larger than the giants I once knew. Yet again its been VERY WELL MAINTAINED by the Aurora City Hall and Mr. Johnson and his team for several...
Read moreAurora city park is great place for several things. There is a trail to walk around with your pup, 2 different play structures for your littles, and for your older kids they have a tennis court along with basketball court. During the summer they hold great summer concerts in there designated shelter and stage with good food held there as well during the concerts (food truck, wine, and ideally ice cream). When there are no concerts going on the sheltered area can/is used for other things. It is a great place to hold an outdoor birthday party or to just eat lunch in the sunshine or in the rain and still stay dry. Aurora city party provides bathrooms and a water fountain for you and your little human or for dog! This park also features a baseball...
