I had a bad experience with Dr. Gadget last week I took my grand daughter's cracked screen iPad mini into their shop. I ask specifically could this be fixed before Wednesday because my grand daughter is here visiting from NC and she need her iPad mini to go back with her when she return home. The Tech Omar said yes it only takes a couple of hours. I got to the store at 10:00 am they close at 6pm on Saturday's so they had plenty of time. I called back a few hours later to check on the status I was told that they are waiting for a part and it will be ready Monday. I once again explain to them that the iPad need to be fixed because my grand daughter does not live in the area she lives in NC. I was told yes, yes it would be fixed. Come Monday afternoon the iPad was not fixed. I was told that tomorrow it will be fixed due to the weather they could not get to their other store to get the part. Tuesday morning I was then told that I have to wait a couple days because the part has to be special order. I told them at that time that I cannot wait a couple of days because my grand daughter is leaving on Wednesday the next morning to go back to NC and I was told by Omar that it would be fixed within a couple hours and now it's been 2 business days and still not fixed. I told them that I will come to pick up the iPad mini so I can take it to another shop who do have the parts to fix it. I picked the iPad mini up from Manny at the store he did apologize and said that they would ship the iPad mini to my grand daughter for me with no charge and talk with the manager to give me a discount for the repair for the inconvenience. I noticed they replaced the iPad mini with another cracked screen not the original screen that was on when I brought it to them. Now the display was not showing anything and i tried to take it to another shop they would not touch it since the display was not working. I had to bring the iPad mini back to Dr. Gadget since now the display was not working. Again Manny apologize and said that he have the technician on it right away once the part that is needed come in, they will ship it also he will talk to the manager for a discount. I went on Thursday to pick up the iPad mini the screen was fixed and the display worked. However, Omar was Very Rude and Not Professional. I asked about them shipping he looked online to give me a price for shipping of $10.95 with $300 of insurance he then stated that they don't ship and he can give me some packing supplies so I can ship it. He went to the back to look for packing supplies they did not have any packing supplies. I asked about the discount he said he can't give a discount and then he said "Really they had to express ship the part to the store that was needed for the iPad mini" which was not my problem when they should know what they need to fix the iPad in the beginning and know what is in their inventory. However, I got a call and a email from Mo the part busines owner on Sunday and a email. Mo personally wanted to meet with me personally face to face to discuss my experience. So my husband and I went to the shop on Monday evening and spoke with both owners Mo and his brother Faiz who is a Disable Veteran. Mo and Faiz both handle my issue with the up most respect. They both apologized for the unprofessionalism from Omar and they do not tolerate any one being rude and or disrespecting any customer. They both was very understanding and they truly wanted to make sure I was satisfied with their service. Mo and Faiz both went over and beyond with satisfying the issue and I am very pleased and satisfied with the outcome.    Read moreWhere do I start??? AWSOME SERVICE! HONESTY! Good pricing! Have used them every time in past few years for our electronics and always got better response than what we expected! Have referred many friends and they all have told me that they were so glad they went there. Years ago my college age daughter broke her touch screen on a Samsung Active. (This phone is completely sealed. Ie waterproof and no removable memory card.) Called AT&T and using the insurance, it would have been $350 for a replacement phone.... but would mean we wouldnt have gotten any of her info off of broken phone (contacts, photos, videos, documents, etc...). She needed some of her info for school. I called around to at least a dozen places. "Nope, can't get info off". "$400". "$350". Ugh. Called Dr. Gadget "bring it in, we have an old working screen we can plug in and swipe to get her info off". They did it! I then ordered a new screen thru them and they replaced it at an amazing price. 9 months later, she broke screen again and they quickly ordered new screen and fixed it again (fully sealed and waterproof) at a great price. My other daughters iphone started acting up and took to apple store "$300" for new battery plus labor! Dr Gadget =$80 total (plus they cleaned it inside and out.... plug had lots of lint in it.) Then another time my Husbands 6 month old phones screen started flashing on and off. AT&T "he must have gotten water damage" (What? It is a 'waterproof phone') so have to trade in for replacement $350. Nope went to Dr Gadget= found something (small stone/metal?) in the port/plug that was probably causing a connection and shorting it out. Just a few $. Daughter with a Mac computer: large black spot on upper screen. Called Apple "must have dropped it. A few hundred for new screen and take 2 to 3 weeks." Dr Gadget looked at it and informed her that there was a known problem with this special computer screen and Apple was to replace it. We went to Apple store with this info and sure enough, screen was replaced within 30 minutes for free. Dr Gadget could have taken advantage of her and charged to replace screen, but instead they were honest and helpful. This past week took in Sons phone (also a waterproof Samsung Actve... ie completely sealed) that could only be charged on a charging pad. Figured his plug was damaged (we tried to clean plug and nothing seemed to be in there.) Also, for past year it wasn't holding a charge. Took it to Dr Gadget and they ordered new phone plug and battery. When i picked it up today they said that they changed the battery, and it turned out that a pin in the plug was slightly bent, so they bent it back to place. Cleaned inside and out. Only charged for battery and regular service. DIDN'T CHARGE FOR the replacent plug that they ordered for me (they kept it) or extra for fixing pin in plug. I also had taken in at same time my daughters phone that had died over seas. She had taken it to a foreign phone store while traveling. Dr Gadget noticed right away that it had been opened and not sealed right. When i came back today they showed me that the place she had taken it to had removed parts and cut connections. Since i had brought in 2 phones, they didn't charge me for opening this one. One last note: i refered a friend whose adult autistic son had broke his screen. She took him and phone to Dr Gadget and they were so understanding of his need to see where his phone was going to be (back room) and the tech even opened the phone and showed him the inner workings and explained what was going to be done to his phone.    Read moreCame to Dr. Gadget a few days ago due to dropping my phone and unfortunately causing the screen to crack further causing the screen to consistently flicker, đ an associate by the name Amir quoted to fix my screen for a reasonable price given that my phone is upwards of $1200. Amir gave me the option of leaving my phone over night or coming back tomorrow as they were closing with in the hour. I came back the next day I as honestly couldn't take the light and the constant flickering on my phone as it was really hurting my eyes and causing migraines. Amir quoted me at X amount and I told him I would give him half and the other half when the phone done. He said I could just pay when the phone was finished. I thought the tech did a wonderful job, they finished the job within 1 hr 45 min or so. My phone was back to normal, ofcouse I always dim the screen to the lowest setting when using the phone anyway. But it was just good to know my phone was fixed I didn't loose any apps. And ofcourse you can forget the pictures and vedios. I'm really happy with there services this is the second time I come l unfortunately and hoping it's the last. Lol đ but if hopefully never,(( I do) mess up) another phone I can trust dr. Gadget Im really happy worh how respectful they are and how they respect your privacy, and I say this because they asked me for my password to text the phone but also said it was okay if I didn't want to and they could just test it when I was in the store with them. Ofcourse option #2 was best. One of the associate also sold me a great cover for my phone to protect the screen on the side which absolutely I purchased. I'm really happy Amir was kind, straight to the point, explained what the steps where, gave me a time frame, completed it on time, respected my privacy and over all the other associate was super kind aswell. I'm very happy the screen dim and not flickering causing my to have migraines. I'm very happy I know this review is a few days late but better late than never. I should also mention my husband recommended that I look at other option but other options had also a 4.9 with less reviews they have a 4.9 with way more reviews and when comparing to 1. I've already been before & 2. They've done an excellent job it was a no brainer to disregard any other option and come back to the place that took care of your phone the first time.
