They served spoiled rotten food and when we gave review about it the staff instead of being apologetic the staff was so rude. I would never recommend or go back. Worst Indian restaurant in Chicagoland area.
Reply to the Owner’s response:
Many times we go to restaurants not just for recreation but to eat good food with family together when hungry, we might have had such bad experiences too but we tend to overlook it and write big tips too as the staff communicates well and gives us good service, if we take time to write a google review from our busy working schedules, doesn’t it make you think that something would have been wrong at your end? Why not raise standards instead of writing rude sarcastic responses? There are bad reviews posted after our reviews. Do you think that people see only 4 reviews we gave? What about hundreds of other worst reviews??
We seven people ordered 10-11 other dishes and we informed about one dish being spoiled that too after the check of about $200 being paid, we did not ask for the replacement of the dish and we did not ask for the refund, it’s not our feeling that your employee picked a fight, he was so rude that he had thrown a utensil after arguing with loud banging sounds being disrespectful to all of us who were talking. While paying check we informed a female employee so that they won’t serve the same to the other people, but she went and informed another guy who was not an chef and not a manager, he came out and he picked a fight with us. I generally don’t review much you can check my reviews, I had to do this as I had the worst experience at this restaurant. So from the owner’s response, its like we are supposed to eat whatever they serve and not inform about the spoiled food and if we do inform instead of looking into the issue and raising the standards they gonna sit and write a review to support one rude employee vs seven customers who have paid checks to you many times before. Before writing the reviews I requested the female for owner’s information about time in restaurant or email but she denied.
Thanks to you and your team for taking this effort in writing this response and make us realize not to waste our money on your food.
If you are feel your employees are not rude and if you feel the food served was not spoiled, then good...
Read moreWent for a device repair to Dr. Gadget next door to this place, during the wait we were hungry ans decided to go in for lunch, this is on 09/12/2021 around 2:00pm, was told the kitchen is closed but we can only order biryani, fine! We agreed.
There were still around 6 tables that were ordering food when we walked in. We were told to sit down at any table we liked. We sat down, then after 15 minutes of waiting one of the guys finally decided to take our order, we ordered two of their chicken biryani and samosa appetizers that were in a glass case next to our table.
Samosa’s that were right there next to us, these were served 10 minutes later, they were ok but at $1 each they were a complete rip off, these were smaller than a McDonald’s chicken nugget for a size reference.
We had also asked for some Salan with the biryani and they said they will definitely get it for us.
Finally another 20 minutes later the biryani came out, it was ice cold, it had been microwaved and only the outer bowl was hot, all the rice and chicken were ice cold. We were hungry and were fooled by the hot bowl and started to eat.
We ate what we could and then asked for a bill and reminded our waiter that he didn’t give us any Salan, his reply was that since we asked another guy to bring us chutney it was our fault that we didn’t get the Salan.
And the cold biryani was also our fault that we didn’t say anything.
There were a lot of guys working there just running circles around, from inside the kitchen and then into the dining area in complete chaos.
Finally asked for the check, which was also from. Another table for $4.50, took another 10 minutes for me to flag him down and asked if it looked right to him, I sorry no apology, the guy just simply took the bill and walked away, finally showed up again a while later with the correct one.
I guess if I want to waste money and time I will not be returning anytime soon to this location.
Complete rip-off, there are lots of other choices along...
Read moreI visited this place a few years ago and was disappointed, so when my friends suggested going again, I was very skeptical. Reluctantly, I agreed, and I'm glad I did. They have significantly improved their vegetarian biryani options. Most of the staff is super nice and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere right from the start.
The service is quick, and the food is affordable, which adds to the overall positive experience. We started with an appetizer called Baby Corn 65, which was just okay, but the biryani, especially the weekend special Vijayawada Biryani, was really good. The biryani featured pieces of deep-fried and marinated vegetables mixed with flavorful rice, making for a satisfying dish.
We also tried the Ullavacharu Biryani, which was amazing. It had a unique flavor profile that stood out. Additionally, the puffs they offer are quite nice, and the masala soda is refreshing, providing a nice complement to the meal.
Overall, this place has transformed into a good spot for biryani, thanks to updated management and better food than before. The improvement in their vegetarian biryani options is notable, and the quick, friendly service enhances the dining experience. Despite my initial skepticism, this visit turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The combination of affordable prices, tasty food, and a welcoming environment makes it worth a visit.
In summary, if you’re looking for a good biryani place with improved vegetarian options and an overall better dining experience than before, give this place a try. The changes in management and menu have clearly paid off, making it a spot I would...
