This place is a bit hard to judge. The place was nice, clean and staff was very nice. My girlfriend did like the beer. I got there and there menu was different from the one online. I wanted the Bao buns and they informed me that that was no longer on the menu. OK no problem. Menu changes can often be nice. So I decided to go with my second pick the Pressed Pitmaster Cubano. This sandwich was really good. But my complaints are that for $14 the sandwich should come with sides. U can add green chili Mac for an additional $2 and I did. I was super excited about the green chili Mac because I have never had it and I absolutely love green chili and I love Mac and cheese. When it came I was immediately disappointed. There was maybe one tiny peace of green chili in it. I tried it anyways and it was quite delicious but didn't taste like green chili and didn't have any signs of green chili. So like I said there food does taste great. I would suggest including side for the prices u are charging and adding more green chili to your GREEN CHILI Mac. Like I said the staff was great. Very friendly and attractive. Food taste great just expensive and not as advertised. I know I'll get a response that says your prices are hig because u guys use organic high grade food. But there are lots of places that use good quality organic food and still include sides for there little bit higher prices. I definitely would recommend this place. Hopefully they can continue improving. They are pretty close...
Read moreWas greeted kindly and promptly when I arrived on a Monday evening. I was hungry and decided to try the Brisket Tacos. Usually I never order tacos while I'm out but I chose to give it a shot and was not disappointed.
The brisket was fantastic. Pickles that came on the side are pickled in-house and really compliment the dish well. Lets just say I would buy a jar if they sold them.
I got to sample the Mac and cheese ..... The combination of flavor, noodle choice, and consistency was enought to make me consider why I didn't just order that!
I also grabbed an order of Cracklings which literally came out crackling. It was a nice crunch to go with the tacos. They would also be a nice side to snack on if you're having a few brews with your people.
Sauces are made in house which is always a plus for me.
I tried the "yeah-nah-yeah" IPA they had. It wasn't bad. I would say it's more "mild" in regards to the hops.
Long story short, if your local then you should definitely stop in. If you live outside the city, put it on your list of places to visit. Good vibe, friendly people, easy place to relax and enjoy good food and drink. I'll be back.
Anthony - thanks for the blessings from the kitchen Toad - I appreciate the kind service and...
Read moreI dropped by to have a beer in late July, thinking I was visiting the Peak Brewing taproom, only to discover that Six Capital had taken over the space in March! The new owners have added a solid barbecue kitchen to the tap offerings and expanded the drink menu so people who don't drink beer can find something they like as well. As usual for someone who prefers darker and maltier beer, the summer tap list was too heavy on wheat, fruit, and IPA styles for my taste. But I did find a very good ESB, and my lighter beer drinking companion said both the honey lager and peach saison were quite good. Despite the fact that the owners seem to think Texas is a good place to be from, they have filled one entire wall with high quality tin and metal logo signs of their fellow independent craft brewers. A nice recognition that there is room for lots and lots of well-made local beer, and that the industry thrives on collaboration more than...
