Finally had time to put in a review. I purchased a washer and dryer set from here 7/26 My mistake not going in person to do a thorough check. I asked what is wrong with the product I was told nothing as it is refurbished. Ok great, upon arrival which was in 3 days as it was the weekend they arrived and installed the set new hoses and hookups. I was at work during this time but my wife was home. I arrived home late that evening to check the product and found that the pulsator cap was not attached but just laying off to the side. Upon reaching back out to five brothers I was told that the cap was missing(so why send a cap that doesn't go to the product instead of ordering a replacement?) I felt swindled. They rectified this by assuring me that a replacement part is ordered and will take time to arrive. A week later I've reached out to determine when I will have the part as we have yet to use the washer due to exposed gears we didn't want clothes to get snagged up. Was told there was issues with getting the part which is why is been a delay in arriving and was assured that it will be in the following weekend. Now I'm livid as it was going on 2 weeks for such a small thing to solve. They again rectified this by moving up the visit from the following Monday to Saturday which did make us happy. Or so I thought. Once again I was at work during this time when the maintenance arrived to fix the part. We have a ring camera so once the guy has left i called my wife to determine if it was fixed. She proceeded to tell me that the cap was on and the guy said give it 3 to 5 hours for the "glue" to dry. Now I'm not tech savvy but anyone worth they salt knows it's not a good idea to glue parts on a washing machine as it can degrade over time and also prevent future repairs as it makes it more difficult to remove(apparently not). I arrived home to check the product and determined it was not a new replacement cap instead it was the original part that had been sent with the product on first arrival that I had kept on top of my fridge as not to lose it in case.( that was no longer on the fridge) there were still gaps between the cap and the gears and the cap wasn't even fitted right as 1 side was leaning more to the left rather than straight leveled. 4 washes later the cap has free floated off again and is now back on top of my fridge. I've researched a part to fit this machine and found 1 that will cost about 40 plus s&h which comes out to about 70 dollars. I'm biting the bullet and buying it because obviously five brothers will not order the correct part as they had ample time to do so and already bamboozled me into thinking they already did when they didn't. I'm suppose to have a month Warrenty on this with the extention of a 90 day Warranty upon placing a review. Let's see if they uphold that and rectify this issue by reimbursing me for said part that they was suppose to have taken cared of from the get go. Needless to say, my review only gives 3 stars which really is generous on account of the product actually looking nice and almost brand new to be used. The negative side is I've felt swindled and hoodwinked when asking questions that I couldn't really get an answer to and a bit of a run around trying to get it resolved and didn't. I can't say I'll ever be desperate to order from here again as the trust in shady ppl is what I despise. Now I'm sure it's not everyone or the whole place but in my experience it...
Read moreBought a washer from this vendor for my rental place. Decided to go with them rather than from a private party assuming there will be less risk in getting a unit that works in order to ensure tenant is happy. The unit had issues from the moment it was installed; smoke started coming out. They send a service repair technician with a replacement unit (similar model but in worse condition than the one I bought). The 2nd unit had the same issue, smoke came out and was not taking water as expected. They offered to send a technician again and were telling me that the issue is with my tenant who was supposedly overloading the washer. Never heard that if you put a lot of clothes in, expected behavior of the washer is to smoke. At this point, my tenant was without the washer for over two weeks. I offered to reimburse them for the service they performed if they were to take the washer back for a full refund. They rejected. I suggested they offer me a refund in the amount they seem financially feasible to the and they simply went quiet. I ended up buying a new washer from Loweâs and giving the one from Five Brothers away. Refurbished products they offer do not seem to have been repaired correctly and at least in my case, neither unit they delivered worked as expected. I have them an extra star for their service but would never purchase from this vendor again.
[Follow up to the vendorâs response] I appreciate vendorâs response and his perspective on the issue but facts are different than what they stated. They only replaced a defective washer once not twice. They only delivered one unit to my location not two and that was based on their assessment on the first defective unit not per my request - I guess they assessed that it was not reparable at that time and then later claim that everything was ok with that unit. Finally, they did offer to continue servicing these defective units but they did not offer another replacement. They still stand by their claim that the unit was overloaded with clothes and that is why smoke comes out of it like this is a normal and expected mode of operation. I guess that if you are ok with a smoke coming out of the products you buy from this vendor, Five Brothers Appliances is the...
Read moreStill waiting for the Manager and Owner to get back to me on the home damage that was caused. The story begins with 2 horrible experiences. The first fridge that was delivered did not work. Was "refurbished" to new but only powered on and the fridge and freezer never got cold. They took a perfectly working fridge from my tenants and left them with a paperweight. They also managed to only send 1 delivery guy who damaged multiple bricks at our entrance. The second delivery brought a totally different fridge this time, a Samsung that I did not want but had no choice since the GE I bought didn't work, and during the second delivery, with only 1 delivery person, they damaged the door jam bringing the fridge in. Not to mention both times I had to help the delivery guy once he got inside as he couldn't do it himself. They made things right by replacing the broken fridge they sold me but I am still waiting for someone to contact me regarding the damages done to my house that they said they would send someone to repair. It's been 3 weeks and I have not heard anything from anyone. I am willing to change my review once that is handled and...
